Storm.

And not just any. But the worst one I've seen in my entire life. Well, I mostly avoid storms. But now I have no choice.

The clouds were black as a starless night. I can't believe there were only a few clouds in the sky two hours ago. Lightning flashed from the clouds in all directions. Lightning was followed by thunder. Which echoed into distant waters.

The rain was lashing continuously. It rained so hard that within a second we were soaked to the bone. I don't like rain. But for the sake of the crew I have to endure it.

The wind is so strong that it tilts the ship once to one side and then to the other. This strong wind is driving the ship fast, but we have to raise the sails or it will throw us into the sea.

The waves were wild and crashing into the ship.

When the boat hit the wave, it looked as if the boat was going to take off and immediately fell back on the water. She rolled over the railing onto the deck. And so the deck was wet and slippery. When the ship tilted, the water on board moved as well. As if it were a mini lake. It tossed the ship around like a shopping doll.

I had something to do to keep myself on my feet. That's how it was with us.

In order to move around the ship, we held on to the ropes. So that we don't fall overboard into the sea. They headed for the mainmast because Shadow was standing by it. He looked like he wouldn't be defeated by a storm.

"Alright crew!" started Shadow shouting to drown out the storm, "we have a pretty strong storm here. First we will find out what happened."

We all nodded.

"So Tails why are we in the storm" Shadow asked Tails. Since he used names, this is serious.

"Looks like the rudder autopilot went wrong. I think lightning might have knocked it out," Tails tried to shout. I didn't understand it, then I have to ask Tails what it is.

"Okay. Rouge how's your wing doing?" asked Shadow Rouge.

"Very well," she said, spreading her wings to confirm her words.

"Okay. I'll go to the helm. Rouge and Tails tie the sails to the spars. The rest of you go to the ropes. Go," Shadow ordered.

"AYAY CAPTAIN," we all shouted at the same time.

We went to our posts.

Since the wind was strong, Rouge and Tails held on to the rope and flew up onto the raft.

Amy, me and Knuckles grabbed the ropes and pulled them slowly raising the sails.

It was difficult, because the ropes were wet due to the rain and because of that they creaked. But we held them like pincers.

The ship has two berths. And all five sails were lowered. We have to tease them, because they won't last long.

We already have the last sail left, the foresail. Shadow was at the helm trying to stay on course. But it was difficult because of the waves and the wind.

We were soaked to the bone. And it was really cold. We need to finish this quickly. Because otherwise we will get sick.

We grabbed the ropes. Amy was in front of me, I was in the middle and Knuckles was in the back.

Tails and Rouge were on the rope connecting the ropes. They could not fly because the wind would sweep them into the sea.

But something was wrong. The rope did not move. We pulled with all our might in vain and it didn't move him.
