Shadow pov
He thinks I didn't see them. I was watching them the whole time.
I yelled at Sonic because I could see he was uncomfortable with the conversation.
When he got to the ship, he tried to hide it, but I could see he was worried.
Cream or Marine must have asked him something sensitive.
Hmm.
Sonic pov
I was helping the crew set sail so we could sail to Vulcano Island. To find the legendary Chaos Emerald there.
"Crew, setting a course for Vulcano Island," Shadow said and set the autopilot.
"Tails, how far is the island?" Shadow asked Tails.
"According to my calculations from the autopilot data. The island is one hundred and fifty kilometers away. If we keep up this wind, we'll be there in two days," Tails said.
"Okay, crew, get to work," Shadow said and we all got down to our work.
I went below deck to look at the supplies.
In the storeroom were wooden crates of various sizes.
On the starboard side was food and on the port side was water.
Everything fit. And these supplies will last us a long time.
I went to the weapons. They were in another room.
There were sabers, cannonballs, bullets, and a few pistols.
Everything was fine.
I was about to turn around when I heard the door open behind me.
I turned around and there was Shadow standing in the doorway.
"Is something wrong, Cap?" I asked.
"I'm not. But I was going to ask you," Shadow said, crossing his arms.
"Nothing's wrong, Capitan," I said.
He narrowed his eyes and looked me over.
I felt uncomfortable.
"Fine. But if anything happens, I'm here," he finally said.
"Okay, thanks Shads," I said with a smile.
He closed his eyes, turned around and left.
I think I just imagined it or was it true, Shadow smiled a little as he closed his eyes.
I blushed.
I shook my head quickly so he wouldn't notice.
After Shadow left, I stayed in the warehouse for a while longer.
Suddenly the door opened and Tails was standing in it now.
"So here you are Sonic. I've been looking for you everywhere," Tails said quickly.
"What's wrong, Tails?" I asked worriedly.
"Nothing's wrong. I just want to give you something," he said.
"Me?" I asked in surprise. No one has ever given me anything.
"Yeah. Follow me," he said and turned and left.
I followed him into his workshop.
"What's this, buddy?" I asked curiously.
Tails walked over to his desk. He picked something up from there and turned to me.
