CHARLES LECLERC
I walked into the office, the scent of coffee and paper hitting me as I stepped through the door. My PR manager, Elena, was already seated at the round table in the middle of the room, her laptop open and a stack of papers spread out in front of her. She looked up and smiled as I entered, gesturing for me to take a seat.
"Morning, Charles," she greeted me, her tone brisk but warm. Elena was always like that—efficient, does her job, but with just enough of a personal touch to make these meetings bearable.
"Morning," I replied, sliding into the chair opposite her. "Let's get to it."
Elena clicked on her laptop, and the screen flickered to life, showing a calendar packed with events, interviews, and other obligations.
"So, first up," she began, "we have that charity event next weekend. It's a big one, lots of media coverage expected, so we'll need to prepare some statements. How are you feeling about it?"
"It's for a good cause, so I'm all in," I said, leaning back in my chair. "Just tell me what I need to say, and I'll be ready."
Elena nodded, making a note on her tablet. "Great. I'll have some talking points sent over to you later today. Now, about the interview with Autosport next week—they're going to want to delve into your recent performances and, of course, the usual questions about the team dynamics."
I sighed internally.
"Right," I said, "I'll stick to the usual lines. Focus on the positives, keep it neutral about the team stuff."
Elena smiled approvingly. "Exactly. And don't worry, I'll be there to steer it if things get tricky."
We moved on to other topics—the upcoming sponsorship deal that needed some social media push, a few events that I was scheduled to attend, and a potential collaboration with a fashion brand that was still in the early stages of talks.
As we wrapped up, Elena closed her laptop and looked at me in a more relaxed way. "How are you holding up, by the way? I know the season's been a bit of a rollercoaster."
"It's been a lot, but I'm managing. You know how it is—just got to keep pushing."
She nodded, understanding. "Well, if you need anything, or if you just want to vent, you know where to find me."
KEIR WALSH
I had a day off in Singapore, and decided to spend it sitting across from Alma in the café. I stirred my coffee absentmindedly.
"You've noticed it too, haven't you?" Alma finally broke the silence, her eyes narrowing slightly as she leaned forward.
I glanced up, my brow furrowing. "Noticed what?"
She rolled her eyes, exasperated. "Come on, Keir. Zahra's practically been MIA for weeks, and have you seen her posts? It's clear she's with someone, in that way."
I sighed, setting my cup down. "I know we joke about it, but I think it's real now. She's way too excited to do interviews with him, and they always talk after, and it's just. You should see them."
