Rain poured down, dripping against the glass of the cafe. The quiet murmur of the customers could just be heard, alongside the tip tap of the water droplets outside. Not many people were in today, only a few. The atmosphere had been less cheerful as it usually was now that Em had gone. We still tried to keep the mood light, but without Em, it just felt lonely. It was a quiet night for us, despite the fact that it was only 4:00 p.m in the afternoon.
Joe had been quiet lately, and I could only assume it was due to Jessica and Dylan. Joe hardly had time to speak to them, and recently he had been getting even more work to do, coming in at late hours and leaving so early. I always left him some food in the microwave or the fridge, worried about his health. Deep eye bags could be seen from the restless nights he had. I hardly saw him now, with him coming in when I was asleep and leaving before I awoke. I hoped he was taking care of himself.
The bell chimed, welcoming another customer, and I looked up to be met by Seongwoo's grin. His hair was dripping wet from the rain outside, which made him look even more attractive. A faint blush appeared on my cheeks as I recalled what happened the previous day. Now is not the time to be thinking about kissing Seongwoo, I thought to myself.
Immediately, I started to prepare his caramel macchiato, knowing that was what he would order.
"Take your jacket off, you'll catch a cold." I said by a way of greeting.
"Wouldn't I catch a cold if my jacket was off?"
"Not as bad as the one you'd get with a wet jacket on." I answered, handing him his drink. I was met with non other than his mischievous smile, but he did what was asked. I took the jacket off him, and hung it on the nearest radiator to dry.
"I'll be going back out in the rain again, so there's really no point in drying it."
"Listen to yourself Seongwoo. You sound like an obnoxious pig. It'll be less wet that way, and just be quiet and drink up."
I sat with him on the table, aware of Donghyu watching me the entire time. He had no choice but to work since Em had left, and I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little smug about that. Finally I could see him in action, somewhat anyway.
"Do you want anything else?" I asked Seongwoo, preparing to get up.
"No, I'm fine, thanks though. I'm sure you act this kind to all your customers." He added with a wink.
"Only to those who I have a soft spot for." I answered, not breaking the eye contact between us despite how red I could feel my cheeks getting.

"Table 5's food is ready." Donghyu approached me, as he told me this. I got up without a word, and went to give the food to the three people on the table. Why couldn't he give it himself? We weren't that busy today, no doubt the fault of the weather. I sighed, knowing it was typical of him to do so, but I couldn't let it get to me.
"Enjoy your meal." I smiled as I put down the plates containing their food. I sorted out some things on the counter, and I was about to join Seongwoo when he came up to me.
"I have to go, Daniel is calling me. I'll see you later okay?"
"Sure." I smiled at him, whilst handing his jacket back. "It's not even dry properly." I frowned as I spotted some damp areas.
"It'll do. And if I do get sick you can blame Daniel."
I rolled my eyes at him, and without any warning, Seongwoo leaned forward and placed a small peck on my lips. "See you later." Once again, his mischievous smile was plastered on his face, leaving me slightly speechless.
