The breeze blew on my face, awakening me. My last promise to my mother filled my head; go with your heart, even if everyone else says not to. I promised my mother I'd do that. So I had to keep that promise, no matter what. I listened hard and let my heart decide for me.✧*+:。.。 ᶘ ᵒᴥᵒᶅ 。.。:+*✧
I wanted to go outside and explore again. It had been a while since I had done that, and since I have finished studying and I wasn't scheduled to work today, I decided that today was the perfect day. It was mid spring, and the sun beckoned me to go join the world outside. Wondering around, I admired all the places I went past, but Seoul was a busy place. Swarms of people passed me on the main streets, and I feared I would get lost again. I stumbled upon this one particular place that attracted my attention. It was like an antique shop, and as I peered through the window, I could see such beautiful jewelry and other accessories.
"You could go in and ask to see them instead of looking at them through the window." A voice called to me, making me jump with surprise.
"Seongwoo? What are you doing here?" I questioned him, surprised at how he always appeared out of the blue.
"Just finished working, and then I spotted a familiar face."
"You work here?"
"Not here. It's a few minutes away; part of my training."
I didn't know whether he was telling the truth or not, mainly because I seemed to be seeing a lot of him 'coincidentally'.
"You're wondering why I'm always around aren't you? Doesn't that remind you of someone? Always appearing at a certain place a number of times?"
I stared at the person in front of me, knowing exactly what he was implying; the times I got lost and when I saw him dancing in that place. I could feel myself getting red, but I tried to ignore it. He was starting to annoy me, more and more each time.
"Don't worry, I'm not stalking you or whatever it is you're thinking." I said back to him dryly. I had wanted to enjoy myself today, so why couldn't I do that peacefully? Seongwoo simply laughed at what I said, while I just mentally rolled my eyes at him.
"So. You thinking of going inside to actually buy anything?" He asked me, and I could see a glint of laughter still in his eyes.
"Not really. I was just looking around, trying to get a better feel of this city."
"Well come on then, we're not going to get anywhere if you just stand here!"
"We're?" This boy was incredulous.
"That's right. Who better to take you around than a citizen of the city himself? And I assure you, you definitely will not be getting lost on my account."
I couldn't argue with that. He had some good points. I wouldn't be able to get lost and he knew Seoul.. so why not? I could see him waiting patiently for my answer and decided I would be safe if I went with him. Nodding at him in agreement, I let him lead the way.
"Where are we going?" I asked him.
"You'll see."
We walked side by side, for a few minutes. There was a silence between us, but it wasn't awkward. It was the comfortable silence.
"We've arrived." I looked up to see where he had taken me.
"A shop?? This is one of the most amazing places I must see??"
"Not just any shop. This is one of the best ones in Seoul. It's like a takeout and dine in. They sell the best food ever."
I raised an eyebrow, still not convinced of his answer. He walked in, leaving me with no choice but to follow. He was ordering food at the counter, while I sat down on one of the tables. I looked around. There were quite a lot of people here. Seongwoo joined me a few seconds after, and asked me, "Have you tried Dakgalbi?"
