Akuma's POV

Finally!

We all made it to the wall. As I tried to convince Kibi to have a bath with all of us, we lost track of time and reached our second destination before we knew it.

I don't say this out loud, but it's always a joy to tease and talk to Kibi about the silliest things.

I do want him to take a bath with all of us after this mission. The adults may not like the idea since you don't know what a guy would do to us despite being supernaturals.

But in my opinion and experience, Kibi would never do anything sneaky to us.

I have complete trust in Kibi.

More importantly, what should I teach Kibi to make for his wife?

There are loads of recipes I came up with while resting a little while ago, and I want to use them all!

For example,

I could teach him to make a strawberry cake with dark icing on top! Oh! I can even make desserts like chocolate ice cream that's shaped like a heart with a cheeky on the top!

Or maybe a dinner for two! Ooohhh!

I can teach Kibi to cook Petite Beef Wellington! We got loads of chicken creatures we killed during the first layer, so that could work! Wait, no. Beef is made from cows, so maybe the cow-like creature meat will do the trick.

Yeah... yeah! That'll bring them closer, for sure!

"Having dirty thoughts again, Kum?" I heard Jir's voice from my right shoulder.

"Not like you're any different from me," I say bluntly.

"But you don't see me show it written all over my face, now do you?" Jir counters back at me with a smug look.

"Ouch... you got me there," I admit defeat with a frown.

"Anyway, we're almost there, so keep your head in the game, you hear?" Jir says to me with a bright smile.

"I know. It may not seem like it, but I already figured out how to go by it. The fight at hand, I mean." I say with a calm expression.

"Think so?" Jir asks while tilting her head cutely.

"Yup," I nod.

"Well, as long as you don't push yourself too much, everything should be fine," Jir shrugs.

"I'll be fine-"

"I'm serious. Don't you dare do anything reckless, you hear? You'll die if you underestimate your opponents here." Jir narrows her eyes. She looks at me in sadness. "The low creatures are one thing, but the top guards are another. There are no small fries that you could defeat in one swoop. Please, don't overdo it."

"Jir..." I whisper.

"Well, anyway," Jir blushes. "That's all I wanted to say.". Jir walked ahead of me and folded her arms.

"*Whisper* I feel like she wanted to say more things but felt embarrassed. Almost like a tsundere..." I chuckle and then shake my head. Anyway, I'll use this remaining time to think about a strategy...

A few minutes later...

Step! Step!

"Alright, we're here!" Yosei shouted excitedly.

"Sweet!" I said.

We all take a look at the wall, and yup, it is pretty big. The structure is a classic brick wall painted blue, just like the castle behind it. I think it's white as well, but it could be gray as well, but- oh well.
