34. Unsurprising Revelation

Everything's going well tonight. I'm so happy to see everyone enjoying my birthday celebration. P'Faye and P'Ling even got up on stage to sing for me, making the fans go wild. It really touched my heart.

My dad stayed by my side the whole time. He knows I'm feeling a bit down because P'Fa couldn't make it. He's always been very understanding, and I never hide anything from him. So, of course, he noticed that I wasn't as cheerful tonight because P'Fa wasn't here.

"Baby, you should be happy. Look at your friends, they came here for you. And your fans are all here, excited for you. If Engfa could be here right now, she would. I know that. So don't be sad," he said when I told him why I was feeling a bit off tonight.

Orm hugged me from behind, and I smiled. Heidi, sitting next to me, held my hand and smiled too. "Look at them, P'Char. They're singing so beautifully for you. This is your day, so don't be sad, okay?" Orm said in her cute voice.

I just nodded.

The fans recorded everything tonight, and they seemed really happy to be here. They gave me so many different gifts too.

After the song ended, P'Faye and P'Ling greeted my fans. "Does it feel like something's missing here? Do you guys know what it is?" P'Faye asked the crowd.

P'Ling jumped in, "Who could it be, Phi? Something's definitely missing, and our birthday girl is feeling a bit down because of it." Then the fans started chanting P'Fa's name over and over.

"Oh, that's right... Engfa isn't here, P'Faye. That must be why!" P'Ling teased, and P'Faye agreed.

"I agree with you, Ling. It's such a shame... but... we've got a surprise for Nong Char, of course!" Then they stepped aside on the stage.

The screen behind them lit up, and everyone got curious.

The screen turned on, and there was P'Fa's face.

"Hello everyone! Hello to the fans, my friends, and Papa Austin," P'Fa greeted through the video.

The fans went crazy, shouting her name. But P'Ling signaled them to quiet down so we could hear what P'Fa was saying.

I smiled seeing her face on the screen. God, I really wish she were here.

"...I'm sorry I can't be there right now. But believe me, I really wanted to be. This is all because of some urgent matters you might have heard about in the media. I'm currently in Florida. I want to wish my girlfriend, Charlotte Austin, a happy birthday..."

My eyes widened, and the fans erupted in cheers. P'Faye and P'Ling looked at me and laughed. Everyone started teasing me.

They even had to pause the video because of the chaos.

I was shocked.

What is P'Fa doing? Did she really just call me her 'girlfriend'? In public? This is definitely going to be headline news tomorrow.

I blinked several times, feeling confused, but I couldn't stop smiling.

Then P'Faye said, "Please quiet down you guys so Fa can finish her message... or you won't be able to hear what she says next!" she teased.

The fans nodded, and some were even crying. Oh my...

"... a happy birthday, Teerak. I hope you're not mad at me. I really want to hug you right now..." She paused, looking like she might cry.

God, I've been so selfish. Everyone's right, she's just as upset about not being here as I am.

"I wish you all the success in the world, Baby. I hope you never have to be sad again and that you stay strong for whatever comes your way. I'll always support you, Baby... and once again, I'm so sorry I can't be there with you. I love you, I love you so much... Don't cry tonight, Teerak. I'll be with you soon. I love you. A thousand kisses for you, my love! Bye-bye!"

Then the video ended, and everyone cheered.

Tears rolled down my cheeks, and then P'Ling came down and walked over to me, hugging me and handing me the mic.

She encouraged me to say something in response to P'Fa's birthday message, and she would record it to send to P'Fa.

I wiped away my tears. "Thank you, everyone, and thank you to P'Fa as well. I'm sorry I've been so grumpy lately, it's just because I really wanted you to be here. But you made me so happy with this, and I can't say anything else except that I love you, Teerak. Come home soon, I miss you, and I'm not giving you any virtual kisses. If you want them, come home, and you'll get all my kisses."

I laughed at my own words and handed the mic back to P'Ling.

All my sadness faded away, even though I still wish she could come home soon.

My mood's back to normal, and I love her even more with every little gesture she makes.

Engfa Waraha is my person. Period.

The media blew up the next day, and I was flooded with talk show invites. I definitely didn't want to clear up our relationship on TV, at least not without talking to P'Fa first.

Outside my office, it's been four days of media chasing me with questions like:

"Did you guys intentionally hide this?"

"Charlotte, how long have you and Engfa been dating?"

"Are you living together? Are things getting serious?"

"Have you been dating for a while and hiding it for fame? Come on, Charlotte, answer us!"

I just got into my car and drove away, ignoring them all. It was such a hassle.

They were so pushy with questions that were sometimes just ridiculous.

Today, I couldn't pick up P'Fa from the airport because the media knew she was arriving in Bangkok this afternoon. So, I stayed home as we talked about yesterday.

We hadn't really talked much after my birthday party, we just promised to catch up when we saw each other again.

When I got home, I got ready. P'Fa texted that she was on her way from the airport, so I rushed to shower and get ready. I hadn't seen her in over 10 days, and I was so excited to hug and kiss her. I couldn't wait.

An hour later, she walked in with P'Sun carrying her suitcases. I ran to her and hugged her tight. She lifted me a bit and then put me down.

"Woah Charlotte! Right into a reunion, huh... Well, Eng, I'll head out now. Enjoy your time together!" P'Sun teased.

I turned to him and hugged him too. "Welcome back to Thailand, P'Sun."

He smiled and left, reminding Engfa to take a rest. And P'Fa nodding at that.

So, it was just the two of us. I pulled her into the bedroom right away. I leaned her against the wall and started kissing her cheeks, nose, and forehead until she was giggling.

"Nuuu..."

Then I looked at her and kissed her lips softly. "Are you tired? Do you want to eat something so you don't get jet lag, Teerak?" I asked, kissing her again.

She smiled and kissed my forehead. "I'm really tired, but I missed you so much. What about you?"

I hugged her tightly. "I don't want you to leave for so long again." I pulled back and looked into her eyes. "I really don't want you to go, P'Fa! Please, not again..." I said, pouting.

She smiled, "Okay, Teerak..." Then she kissed me, this time a bit more intensely, like she'd missed me too. Her kisses were so familiar, yet I'd missed them so much it almost made me tear up.

She turned our positions in a swift move, and now leaned me against the wall, kissing my neck and whispering, "I need to eat, baby..." Then I looked at her with raised eyebrows. "To avoid jet lag. And I need something else to satisfy my craving... Can you fix that for me, Teerak?" She finished her whisper with a playful nip on my lower lip.

I grinned and kissed her hard again.

I think P'Sun was right. We definitely needed this reunion. And I'm sure tonight, she'll be full and jet lag-free.
