25. The Waiting

POV ENGFA

April, 2026

Everything went well when I told Papa. He was really happy.

We started getting things rolling for the collaboration.

The more I learned, the more fascinated I became with their clothing designs, CHALS Rêve.

Before I knew it, it was already April, and the MGT 2026 contestants were competing for the crown on the final night.

I've been insanely busy this past week, getting everything ready to make the final night amazing. Aoom is now the MGT manager, taking over from me.

And we've both never been busier.

On the final night, Charlotte and Lingling came as invited guests and partners.

Of course, Lingling had Orm by her side that night.

As I was walking on stage, giving a speech with P'Champ, I glanced at the front row and saw Charlotte giving me that same look.

I blushed, but keep looking her way, and P'Champ had to repeat his question twice to get my attention.

And, of course, P'Champ didn't miss the chance to tease about this rare Englot moment.

After Miss Grand Thailand 2026 was crowned, we packed up to end the night.

It was 11 p.m. when I finished everything in my dressing room, and Charlotte, Lingling, and Orm came over.

"P'Fa... you look gorgeous tonight," Charlotte said, blushing as she hugged me.

And I replied, "You too, Char... You look amazing."

Then Lingling hugged me, and so did Orm, who Lingling introduced to me officially.

"She's a fan of yours, Engfa," Lingling teased her girlfriend.

"Teerak!" Orm hit her arm, "Don't say that, I'm so embarrassed," Orm pouted.

"Orm even has your photo as her lock screen one time, but not P'Ling's. That's just ridiculous," Charlotte teased.

I laughed at that, "Don't exaggerate, that can't be true," I said as I hugged Orm teasingly.
Orm got excited immediately.

"Not true? It is, Engfa! She really does, look at her!" Lingling teased again.

"What's with you two, P'Ling, P'Char? You're both unbelievable!" Orm said, still blushing.

After I finished packing, we decided to stop by a café for a bite because I was starving.

It was just the four of us and our team on different tables.

When I noticed some fans approaching us for photos, some of them asked Charlotte about an actor,

"How's P'Anop doing?"
"Are you dating him, P'Char?" "P'Anop said you two are really close."

Then they teased Charlotte.

Fans tend to be like this, sometimes, they have no boundaries.

Charlotte just smiled, "We're just friends, naa..."

Then the fans left us alone.

Now we could finally eat in peace.

"Wow, some of your fans are something else. The ultimate gossips," Lingling laughed.

"True, I wonder how they could ask something like that, honestly," Orm nodded in agreement with her girlfriend.

I smiled, "That's how fans are."

Then Charlotte said, "Yeah... and I'm so confused by this rumor. P'Anop and I have only worked together once. He's a good actor tho. I don't know how the media twisted things like this just because he posted once on social media from my house. There were like 15 people there! It's so frustrating," she grumbled.

"But P'Char, as an actor and public figure, he should also stop playing into the rumors. It makes you two look like a real couple. Or are you?" Orm teased.

Charlotte stayed silent while Lingling and Orm smiled.

The three of us seemed to be waiting for Charlotte's answer. Especially me.

If she said she was dating P'Anop, I wouldn't have any problem with it.

They do look good together in the eyes of the media, and many people idolize them. But for some reason, my heart suddenly felt heavy.

I don't know why.

A few seconds passed before Charlotte said, "I'm not with anyone, especially not P'Anop. He's like P'Mew to me. Like a brother."

Lingling and Orm nodded, "Alright," Lingling said.

"What are you waiting for? P'Anop seems like your ideal type, Char." What was I saying? Why was I encouraging her to date someone else?

Then I noticed Orm and Lingling trying to hold back their smiles.

Charlotte smiled, "Do you think so, P'Fa? Hmm... If you think that, should I give it a try? Maybe you're right."

I nodded, "If you want to and you like him, there's no harm in opening your heart," I said.

Then she nodded too, "True, but I'm waiting for someone else."

I nodded as well.

I don't know who she's waiting for, but I'll support her with whoever it is. It's her right, and I should be happy for her.

"Woah... waiting for who, Char?" Lingling asked.

Orm smiled, teasing Charlotte too.

Charlotte looked at me, smiled, and shook her head, "Waiting for someone," she said, looking directly at me.

I suddenly felt like she was talking about waiting for me. But I didn't want to seem too confident, so I looked back at her and said,

"Tell them. Don't just wait for each other. In the end, who will start?" I smiled at her.

Then she replied,

"I'm doing that right now," looking into my eyes.

I quickly looked away and started eating the snacks in front of me.

My face must be red right now.

The Audi with no brakes is back.
