I felt her pain. she was screaming louder each minute. Emily and I brought her back to my house, my dad will know what to do.

I saw her neck. she had some sort of a symbol.. it was swollen and it looked like it was burning from the inside. when we put her on the bed we heard a crack and she screamed, I saw her eyes, they were begging me to stop the pain. I looked down and saw where the crack was coming from, her leg twitched and broke aside. soon her right hand did the same, followed by the rest of her bones. I heard my father say it was impossible as he flipped through the pages of an old book. she was now on her knees and all of her bones broke and relocated themselves. tears streamed down my cheek because I could'nt stand seeing her hurt like this when I can't do anything to make her suffer less. she screamed again and I started crying heavier when my dad pulled me out of the room and left Jessica with Keegan and Emily. 

"what is happening?! there has to be something we can do to stop this!" I said through my tears. my dad looked at my mom and then back at me. "what?! just tell me, I can take it." I pushed.

"there's nothing we can do until the transformation is complete." he said.

"what transformation? what are you talking about?" I asked confused.

"Kristen, sweetie, I know you don't want her to be like this but.. you saw the symbol. hunny, she's a White Water." my mom said while rubbing my back with one of her hands. I just kept shaking my head.

"no. no way. the White Waters were extinct, dad, you said so yourself" I started getting slightly panicked.

I thought so too but... her bones are relocating and changing for her first shift, and that symbol on her neck.... that's the White Waters symbol. they get this tattoo after a long process of imprinting."

"woah wait, what?!" I raised my eyebrows. "umm ok.. so how- why is she shifting just now?" I said trying to take in all this information.

"my guess is that she has been taking some sort of medicine, well not exactly medicine but something that postponed the shifting." 

"she's diabetic, she takes shots all the time. you think this is it?"

"if you can give me one of them, I can find out." he said and it went quiet as we all looked over to the room where Jessica was. Emily walked out and looked at me. I walked through the door and saw the most beautiful creature standing before me. she stood in the middle of the room, big and her head was bowed down. her fur was the cleanest white i've ever seen and it looked like it was glowing. I felt so much love for her at that moment and I knew that even though we're only 17, she is the one I was meant to spend the rest of my life with, she's the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. 

"Jess?" I asked and I stepped forward slowly. she didn't respond and I told the rest to wait outside. I took another step and she shot her head up, growling at me and flashing her teeth. "Jessica it's me. it's Kristen. i'm not gonna hurt you" I said and kept moving but being careful. she growled once again and sniffed the air, her face soften and her eyes sparkled as she started to whimper. I put my hand over her head and I sighed to the feeling of her fur between my fingers. she came closer and whimpered again. "Hey, come here" she licked my face and I laughed. I held her head and looked right into her eyes. "I know you're scared. I know that this does'nt make any sense to you but everything's gonna be ok. this is'nt the end of the world, we can handle this. by the way, you make quite a wolf" she huffed and I smiled. "you're beautiful Jess, you look like an angle" I said while sitting down with my back to the wall and she lay her head on my thighs as I caressed her glowing figure. "i'm not going anywhere." I said and kissed the top of her head. Emily walked in and looked at me and I understood what it meant.
