Hanni felt vulnerable and defeated ever since she found out that she was being manipulated. She had no hope of getting better. She even felt afraid that Y/n was the one to actually have to take care of her now.
That's until she noticed a subtle power she still had.
She still affected Y/n in a way.
Y/n wasn't as cynical as they seemed. Y/n had a weakness. A weakness they probably didn't even know they had.
- Y/N POV -
I did my best to stay out of Miss Pham's VRU.
It was one thing to watch Hanni suffer inside and outside the server. It was another to have her ask me for help like that.
"How could she ask me to stay knowing what I'm capable of?" I wondered to myself all day.
*INCOMING MESSAGE*
My VRU announced.
I opened the message and it was a picture of Miss Pham.

"You haven't come to visit me today! :(" she captioned it.
I sighed and tried to put the chat away, but another message came through.
"You're making me feel lonely >.<!"
I rolled my eyes in annoyance and pulled out my phone. I dialed Sakura's phone and quickly told her... "She's lonely".
"On it," Sakura answered before hanging up.
I took a deep breath and let it out. I stared at the picture of Hanni in front of me for a few seconds and then deleted it.
The more I saw her as a patient...
The further away I stayed from her...
The better.
- Hanni POV -
"Woof!!"
"WOOFF!!"
I could suddenly hear barking coming from outside. I quickly ran out of the room I was in and ran out into the backyard.
"Woahhh!" I exclaimed at the sight.
My heart fluttered like crazy and I almost felt like crying.
My cute little puppy had been sent into my VRU. Well, a digital version of my dog, but still!
It seemed like my theory was correct.
Y/n wasn't all that heartless.
All the time Y/n and I had spent together wasn't entirely worthless. It didn't seem to be entirely fake either.
