Narrator

After struggling to get Y/n to calm down, Minji managed to get Y/n back in the car to head back to work.

Minji was hoping Y/n would see Hanni and then feel bad enough to tell her Hanni's state... but Y/n ended up losing it instead...

- Minji POV -

It looked like Y/n actually really cared about Hanni for a bit. Enough to want to beat the fuck out of Hanni's doctor.

I wasn't sure how to feel about Y/n's behavior though.

It looked more like Y/n saw Hanni as more of a patient than an individual.

I was afraid that we'd get back to work and Y/n would just forget what they had done for Hanni. I was afraid Y/n would look at Hanni in her private world and just see the enemy...

Not the patient they had just helped.

"Are you going to tell her?" I took a deep breath.

"Tell her what?" Y/n still sounded upset.

"Tell Hanni you were actually her doctor for once?" I exhaled.

"She already thinks I'm her doctor," Y/n coldly responded.

"I mean I know that but like you're not. Why don't you tell her you're not?" I furrowed my brows.

"We need to add disclaimers in Private Worlds," Y/n suddenly changed the subject.

"Huh?" I got confused.

"Disclaimers about Private Worlds not being real or individuals in those Private Worlds not being real," Y/n kept on talking about other things.

"Miss Pham, The Pham Estate is calling!" My driver suddenly announced.

"Put them on speaker," it was odd for any one of the estate staff to call me. If there was a problem they called Hanni's parents instead.

"Hi, I gave Miss Pham some OxyContin and she's barely breathing," The Doctor said on the other line.

"Oh my god!" Y/n groaned.

"Give her some Naloxone and wait a few hours. If you want to give her a pain killer then give her half a tab of baby aspirin and nothing more," Y/n was annoyed with the doctor.

"But she's in a lot of pain!" The doctor sounded stressed.

"Are you really that stupid?! You're gonna give someone who doesn't even have food in their system a fucking dose of one of the most intense painkillers in the wor-"

"Just do what Y/n said," I coldly told the doctor before hanging up the phone.

I didn't want Y/n getting aggressive again.

- Y/N POV -

For once, I just wanted to go home.

I couldn't understand how so many people had failed to see what was wrong with everything going on.

If anything...,

I wanted to ended it more than Miss Pham did.

"I'm thinking of firing him," Minji said as she hung up the phone.

I looked a her blankly... I couldn't pull myself out of whatever I was feeling...

"Since you have access to her VRU charts, what do you think about her being your first patient?" Miss Kim asked.

"I think I just want to go home," I lowly responded.

"Take us to Y/n's place!" Miss Kim suddenly ordered her driver.

After a short bridge ride, we arrived at my home.

I bowed at the driver and waved Miss Kim goodbye.

I walked inside my home and saw the mess I had made the night prior. I was used to the sighted. I was used to the physical mess I made because of my feelings. I was used to the odd abuse I handed myself... I was used to the filth that flooded my body...

Both physically and psychological...

I looked over at the picture of my mother hanging on the wall and walked over to it...

"I'll see you soon," I whispered to the picture before turning my attention to boxing bag hanging from the ceiling.

- Minji POV -

I adjusted myself on my seat and suddenly got stabbed by something.

"Oww!" I hissed.

It was a portable VRU chip.

It was Y/n's VRU chip.

"Wait, go back!" I told my driver.

My driver made a U turn when we reached a stop light and we headed back to Y/n's place.

Y/n lived in a bit of an odd area considering the fact that they made a decent amount of money. It was a quiet area but not somewhere I pictured one of our coders to live.

"Calling Y/n now," My driver announced.

We both waited as we heard Y/n's phone ring. It had probably been only 12-15 minutes since we dropped Y/n off, but Y/n wasn't picking up.

"I'll just drop it off at their door," My driver seemed to lose patience.

"I got it!" I decided to save him the trouble.

I stepped out of the car and walked up Y/n's door.

*KNOCK, KNOCK*

For some reason I felt nervous.

"Aacckk!"

"Accchghkkk!"

I started to hear odd noises and things falling to the ground. It sounded like people were fighting inside the home.

"Y/n, you forgot your chip!" I yelled.

The sounds I had heard prior started to silence.

*KNOCK, KNO-*

*CREEEKKK*

The front door eerily opened on its own.

"Oh my god!" My heart sank to my stomach.
