I woke up in a gasp and looked around me. I was laying on the couch with a blanket thrown over my body. Whoever carried me inside the house didn't even bother laying me on my own bed--and I knew for a fact that person was Stefan.

"Ugh," I groaned. I rubbed my neck and got up. I looked out the window and noticed it was morning. Great, I guess instead of waking up minutes after Damon snapped my neck--as a vampire usually does when it gets its neck snapped--I decided to sleep it off all night as per usual.

I heard Stefan coming down the stairs and I looked over at him. He was ready to go to school and had a smile on his face. Something I didn't think I would see the day after we reunited with our dear brother.

"I thought you'd never wake up again." He playfully said to me. I made a face at him. He was in a good mood surprisingly, but I wasn't.

"Is he gone?" I asked the most important question.

Stefan shook his head. "He's still lurking around."

"Great," I mumbled.

"You shouldn't have provoked him like that." Stefan chuckled.

I stared at him dumbfounded. "He makes me want to take my own eyes out!"

"He snapped your neck."

"And I'll snap his the next time I see him."

He stopped to look at me. "He also threw me against the wall, so I think we're on the same page."

I groaned and rubbed my eyes tiredly. "What time is it?"

He grabbed his jacket and school bag, throwing it over his shoulder. "It's ten past eight. You better get ready, the bell is going to ring in five minutes."

Then he left and closed the door behind him, leaving me standing there, still wearing the clothes from last night. God, I needed a shower.

--

"Hey, Franny!"

While I was walking down the school corridors with my bag over my shoulder, I didn't intend to even converse with anyone right as the morning started--nonetheless Caroline. Even though I wasn't really in a good mood, I still turned around and offered her my best smile.

"Hey, Caroline." I noticed the blonde girl wasn't alone, she also had Bonnie next to her. Both of the girls offered me a smile in return. "And Bonnie, hi."

"Hi," she mumbled.

"Did you know that Bonnie's a witch?" Caroline asked me enthusiastically. Bonnie closed her eyes and shook her head at the girl and I chuckled at her reaction.

"Yes." I nodded. "She told me at the bonfire last night."

Caroline's eyes widened. "Really?" She turned to her friend and gave her a disappointed look. "And you didn't tell me?"

Bonnie shrugged. "We're a crazy family? Yes. Witches? I don't think so."

"Yeah, well, feel free to conjure up the name and number of that guy from last night." Caroline said, then she turned to me wide eyed when she remembered how she'd never told me the information. As if I wanted to know in the first place.

"I haven't told you yet," she said with a big smile.

I raised my eyebrows in fake interest. "No, I don't think you have. Please, do tell."

"So," she started off, "I saw this guy last night at the Grill, he's so so hot. He had these crystal blue eyes, he was tall and handsome, and he was looking at me all night."

Please don't tell me she's talking about Damon out of all people she could meet in this place.

"Crystal blue eyes?" I asked her, cutting her off.

She nodded with a smirk. "Yeah, Bonnie saw him too."

I turned to Bonnie and saw her expression had changed from the moment Caroline chose to speak about the man she had seen. Then I remembered that Bonnie had seen him too at the bonfire when she touched Elena and had that weird vision witches always have. She looked around her instead of looking me in the eyes, and I immediately understood she was uncomfortable.

"I didn't see him, you did." Bonnie mumbled with an awkward smile.

"Well, I should've talked to him but I was too drunk to do anything. Anyways..." Caroline says.

I tried thinking of something to make Caroline not be interested in my big brother, so I conjured up a lie. "I don't know, from what you described he seems like the creepy type, y'know?" I laughed and Caroline scoffed.

"Why do you think he's creepy? You didn't even see him."

I did. He snapped my neck.

"I don't know, it's just this weird feeling that I have."

Caroline rolled her eyes. "Oh my God, please don't tell me you also come from a family of witches or something."

I chuckled and shook my head. "Nope, I don't. I just have common sense."

"Well, keep that common sense to yourself." Caroline squinted her eyes at me playfully and I shook my head with a laugh.

Oh, boy. I can feel it from miles away that she'll mess with my brother sooner or later and as usual, Damon will ruin everything.
