I forgive you
For the words you didn't say
For the apologies that never came
For the promises that went up in flame
And for my heart that bore your blameThis I learnt from you; I could love a boy
That my heart could bring peace to another,
But not at the cost of being anyone's toy.
I learnt that I deserve to be loved and my heart is not
A feeding ground for your cowardice and anxiety.
I discovered my worth, and that my peace is not a sacrifice for your insecurity. You stayed silent when you should have spoken,
You took my heart, already breaking....And now we're here, with my heart in your hands
I watch you gently return it, where it once belonged
All bruised and bleeding, weary and forlornSo for everything that you were and still are,
For my tears and smiles,
For all that I gave you, and all you couldn't give backI Forgive You...

She will live on in another story, Where her heart, though scarred finds its true glory."Love, Wendy.
