My mother said when I was born, I came with the rain
She said lightning struck and the sound of thunder was deafening
She said it was a little scaryHere in Africa, well atleast in my country we believe that the rain brings about blessings
When it rains,
The crops grow, the land celebrates by turning green, and
The livestock comes aliveHere is the down side, when it rains we also pray that the rain does not bring about the floods
We cross our fingers and hope that our houses are sturdy enough to withstand the stormsIsn't it amazing...
How something like the rain could bring blessings and also calamity?
This got me thinking, about how humans were made
The story of creation that I believe in talks about how we were fearfully and wonderfully made but at the same time we are capable of doing terrible, terrible things. It all comes down to choice I believe, We choose what type of rain we become. Do we become the life bringing rain or do we become the floods, the tsunamis and the like
Do we become the calamity of the world or do we become the blessings...?
