Chapter 5

I get up the next morning and I go to my bathroom. I shower (being careful of my bandages), curl my hair, and do my favorite makeup. I slip on a faded fitted blue sweater, black flare jeans, and black fur boots (it's getting colder). I grab my purse, phone, a book, and keys. I limp downstairs and see Clark. "Morning", I say.

"Well look who doesn't need crutches", Clark smiles.

"I feel a lot better. I don't know what happened. I suddenly just got a lot better", I reply. "I'm gonna go to The Talon. Anyone want anything", I ask them. Martha looks around before shaking her head.

"No I guess not", Martha smiles. I nod and leave. I get in my car and head to The Talon. I walk inside and see Lana.
"On your feet already", Lana smiles.

"Yeah. I'll have my usual", I smile back.

"So how are you feeling", Lana asks fixing my coffee.

"I'm a lot better. I had this spontaneous recovery. My leg sometimes starts to hurt if I am up too much", I reply. Lana nods and hands me my coffee. I get out some money but Lana stops me.

"On the house. I consider it a welcome back gift", Lana smiles.

"Oh thank you", I smile back. Lana nods and I sit at my normal place. I open my book and start reading. I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around to see Justin (a football player that's a tool) smirking. "What do you want", I snap.

"I just thought since you're single and all we could go on a date then go back to my place", Justin says.

"First of all no I'm not single. And second of all you're such a tool", I hiss.
"Really who's your boyfriend", Justin asks.

"That's none of your concern", I reply.
"And I'm not an tool", Justin snaps.

"Really cause you'll have sex with any hot girl", I reply.

"Yeah and you're next", Justin smirks. I roll my eyes and get up. I start to walk away but Justin grabs my sore shoulder. I cringe in pain and pull his arm off my shoulder. I smack him across the face and leave. I get in my car and drive to Lex's mansion. I knock on the door but no one answers.

I open the door and say "Lex." I look left and see Lex with some girl on his lap. I gasp and cover my mouth. Lex looks at me and pushes the girl off him.

I back away and he says "wait."

"I'm sorry I interrupted you to", I cry.

I run out of the room and lean on the wall tears rolling down my cheeks. "I'm so sorry. She came on to me", Lex says.

"Lex I don't want excuses. I can't believe I let another guy in my life. I never wanna see you again. Good bye", I hiss. I walk away from him no matter how many times he calls my name. I leave and go outside to my car. I slide down my car tears rolling down my cheeks. I get up and get in my car. I drive to The Talon and I hear Lex beeping from behind me. I speed up and get to The Talon. I clean myself up and get out.

"Please talk to me", Lex begs. He touches my arm and I turn around swiftly.

"Lex I told you I never want to see you again", I snap.

"Please. I'm sorry", Lex pleads. I don't reply I just walk into The Talon. I sit at the counter and run a hand through my hair.

"You okay", Lana asks.

"I just found Lex with some girl in his lap", I reply sadly.

"What", Lana exclaims.

"Yeah. He asked me to come by and I did. And I found him cheating on me", I sigh.
