Venomous Love

Chapter 22

I get up the next morning. And since I don't have to work today I take off my clothes and run a bubble bath. I light a few candles and turn the lights down. I get in and lie my head back. I sigh and relax a little.

*After my bath*

I wash off all the bubbles and shower. I get out and dry myself off. I curl my hair and do my makeup (gold eyeshadow, black mascara, no eyeliner, and copper star lipstick.) I slip on a grayish silver sequin tank top with wide straps, gray skinny jeans, and gray boots. I grab my purse and a few decorations for Christmas. I put up a few in my apartment and go downstairs. I slip on a white coat and go outside. I drive to the farm and get out with my decorations. I see Clark leaving the house so I walk over to him. "I have the decorations you wanted me to bring for the Christmas eve party", I smile.

"Great thanks", Clark says taking them from me. I see Martha walk out of the barn and over to us.

"It's freezing out here", I say.

"Jess you look frozen. I'm gonna fix hot chocolate for us who can feel the cold", Martha says.

"Okay thanks", I say. Martha walks to the house and so do we. I slip off my coat and set it down. I help him set up a tree and decorate it. Clark picks me up to put the star on top. He sets me down and Martha hands me a cup of hot chocolate. Someone knocks on the door and Clark answers it.

"Hi Chloe", Clark greets.

"Hey", Chloe greets back. She comes in and sees the decorations. "Well you guy's have been busy", Chloe says.

"Yeah Clark may be good at getting things done but I'm good at making it look good", I say teasing Clark a little. He rolls his eyes and I let out a small laugh. Chloe takes the rest of the decorations from me. She starts to set them up. I drink the rest of my hot chocolate and wash the cup.

"So ds you know that Lois is living in your old room", Chloe says.

"She is", I ask sounding surprised.

"Yeah. You sound surprised", Chloe says.

"Well I didn't know. Clark didn't tell me", I say. I glance at Clark who us talking Martha with a smile on his face. I go outside for some fresh air. I sit on the porch and I see Oliver pull up in his car. He walks onto the porch and I look at him.

"Hey", Oliver greets.

"Hey", I greet back. Oliver sits down and kisses me. I kiss back and look at him. "So what are you doing here", I ask.

"Just seeing what you're doing", Oliver replies.

"I was just setting up for the party tonight. And for Christmas tomorrow", I reply happily.

"Am I invited", Oliver asks teasingly.

"Of course", I smile. I kiss him passionately and hear someone groan.

"Get a room", Clark says rolling his eyes.

"Oh Clark. You'll get your moment", I smile. Clark rolls his eyes and I laugh. I get up and go inside. I set up the rest of the decorations and look at them. "I'll see you guy's at the party I gotta get ready", I say to them. I leave and go back to The Talon. I go upstairs and take a quick shower. I get out, blow my hair dry, and curl my hair. I put a cute bow on the side. I do my makeup (silver eyeshadow, black eyeliner, black mascara, and dark red lipstick.) I change into a short sequin silver dress, a black blazer, and silver sparkly heels. I grab my purse with everything I need in it. I drive back to the farm and get out. I feel two hands wrap around my waist and turn me around. I see Oliver smiling and he leans down and kisses me. We go inside and Martha looks at me.

"Jess you look beautiful", Martha says.
"Thank you and so do you", I smile.

"The happy couple", I hear Lex say. I turn around and see Lex walking up to us.

"I'm gonna go get a drink", Oliver says. I nod and he kisses my cheek. I watch him walk away and look back at Lex.

"Lex... how are you", I ask.

"I'm good. I would ask how you are but I think we both know", Lex replies.

"Yeah", I sigh. Oliver walks back over to me and hands me a glass. Lex walks away and Lois, Chloe, and Lana walk over to me. "Hey girls", I smile.

"Hey. Wow you look beautiful", Lana smiles.

"Absolutely stunning", Chloe says.

"Wonderful", Lois says.

"Thank you girls. And might I say you each look equally beautiful", I smile. They over to the food table and I look at Oliver.

"You look they're right you look gorgeous", Oliver says.

"And you look like the handsome guy I fell in love with", I smile. Oliver kisses me and I kiss back. We see Jonathan stand up and hit a spoon against a glass making a clicking sound. Everyone stops talking and we all look at him.

"Firstly I want to wish you a merry Christmas Eve. Secondly I want to thank a very special girl for making this year amazing... Jessica. She's a wonderful daughter and an amazing friend to all ", Jonathan smiles at me. Everyone claps for me and I smile. "Lastly I want you all to know I appreciate all of you for being here. And enjoy the rest of the party", Jonathan says. We clap and everyone takes a sip of wine. I walk over to Jonathan and hug him.

"Thank you", I say.

"You deserve it", Jonathan replies.

"What did I do to deserve it", I ask.

"You were there for Clark. When we couldn't be. He always felt alone until we adopted you. He tells you everything... he trusts you. And it's hard for Clark to trust people", Jonathan says.

"Clarks my brother and I love him", I say. Jonathan nods and Clark walks over to us.

"And I love you to", Clark says.

"Were you eavesdropping", I ask.

"Maybe", Clark replies. I roll my eyes and punch him in the arm. I slip on my coat while going outside and sit on the top step. Oliver sits next to me and wraps an arm around me. I lean my head on his shoulder and he kisses my forehead. I take my head off his shoulder and he kisses me passionately. I kiss back and we get up. Everyone grabs a plate and starts to get food.

*After dinner*

Everyone starts giving everyone one of their Christmas presents.

"What's going on", Oliver asks in a whispery tone.

"It's a tradition we do. Every Christmas Eve we give out one present to everyone", I whisper back. Oliver nods and I give everyone there one present. My final present I give go Oliver. He opens it and it's a scrapbook. He smiles and opens it.

At the end he reads "I love you." He places his soft lips on mine and everyone says "aww." I pull away rolling my eyes. I see Lex roll his eyes instead of saying aww. Everyone starts to leave afterwards and I walk over to Clark.

"You gonna be okay cleaning up", I ask.

"Yeah. You two go have fun", Clark smiles. I nod and we go back to The Talon. We go upstairs and I shut the door locking it. I wash off my makeup and change into a tank top and yoga shorts. I leave my bathroom and get a surprise kiss from Oliver. He picks me up and lies me on my bed. He climbs on top of me and his lips trail down to my neck. I moan as he sucks my neck lightly. I push him off and slip off his shirt. I nibble on his collarbone and he smiles as I kiss his neck suductively. He slips off my shirt and he kisses my neck trailing down to my chest. I slip off his shorts and he slips off my shorts. I get into bed and he gets in next to me.

"I love you", I whisper.

"I love you to", Oliver whispers back. He kisses me passionately and I kiss back. I turn my back to him and close my eyes.
