Chapter 15

I wake up in the hospital. I sit up and run a hand through my hair. The nurse comes in and sets down a tray with food on it. She also walks over to me and takes a needles off the table. She sticks it in my arm. I cringe in pain and she takes it out. She patches my arm and leaves. I eat a little of my food and set it down. I get up and stretch. I sit down and hear my door open. I glance behind me and see Oliver walking in. He takes one look at me and a tear rolls down his cheek. He walks over to me and sits next to me. He doesn't face me he just looks at the floor. I make him look at me and kiss him passionately. "I'm so sorry. Clark told me what the guy asked you and did to you. If you didn't know me at all this wouldn't have happened", Oliver sighs.

"Oliver stop it this is not your fault", I say.

"Why didn't you just tell them? He wouldn't have tried to kill you if you did", Oliver says.

"Oliver... I would die before I gave away your secret", I smile. I kiss him passionately and he pulls away.

"I think it's best we keep our distance from each other. Until we find your attacker", Oliver days getting up. I watch him leave and a tear rolls down my cheek. I wipe it away and get up. I grab my stuff and look around. I sneak out and walk back to the farm. While I'm walking I hear someone beep their horn from next to me. I glance at the car and see Lex. He stops and I turn towards his car.

"I heard what happened. Why aren't you still in the hospital", Lex asks.

"Cause I'm not gonna sit there and let that son of a bitch attack more people. I'm gonna find him before he can hurt anymore people", I say. I start to walk and Lex gets out. He walks in front of me and stops me from walking.

"Are you sure that's all", Lex asks.

"And Oliver said it would be better if we kept out distance from each other", I sigh.

"I'm sorry", Lex says hugging me.

"I loved him so much", I say a tear rolling down my cheek. Lex pulls me away and wipes my tear away.

"Come on let's go to the mansion", Lex says.

"Can I go to the farm first change clothes", I ask.

"Of course", Lex smiles. I get in his car and he drives me to the farm. I get out and go inside while he waits for me outside. I take a quick shower, pull my hair in a messy bun, and do my makeup (whitish silvery eyeshadow, black mascara, no eyeliner, and couture pink sparkly lipstick.) I slip on a red no sleeve dress (that shows off my curves) and red sparkly ballet slippers. I slip on a jacket to keep me warm and grab my purse. I get my phone, keys, and wallet. I go downstairs and go back outside. I get in Lex's car and he drives to the mansion. We go inside and he pours me a glass of champagne. I drink it and set the glass down. I slip off my jacket and set my purse and jacket down. I hear Lex's door open.

"Okay how'd you do it Lex", I hear Oliver ask. His eyes meet mine and I look away startled.

"What are you doing here", I ask him.

"I could ask you the same thing", Oliver frowns looking mad.

"Unlike you I was invited", I hiss.

"He's here to confront me about your attack. He thinks I had something to do with it", Lex says.

"What?! Oliver... Lex is innocent", I snap at Oliver.

"He's Lex Luthor... Luthor's aren't innocent", Oliver replies walking out the door. I roll my eyes and look at Lex.

"Lex do you have something to do with my attack", I ask.

"No... I could never do that to you", Lex says. Lex touches my cheek and I touch his arm. Lex leans down closing the gap between us. I glance behind him and see Oliver leaving. He must have seen the kiss. I run after him.

"Oliver wait", I call.

"What", Oliver snaps turning around.

"I'm sorry. It just kinda happened", I say walking up to him. "I still love you", I say. "But you're the one who told me we should keep our distance. I never wanted this to happen. I didn't ask for this", I say. Oliver touches my cheek and kisses my passionately then leaves. I walk back into the main room and see Lex drinking a glass of wine.

"I'm guessing you're gonna leave now", Lex says.

"No. Oliver's the one who said we should keep our distance", I reply. Lex leans down and kisses me passionately. "Lex what are you doing", I ask.

"Doing what I should have done a long time ago", Lex replies. Lex kisses me again and this time I pull away.

"Lex I'm still Oliver's girlfriend we're just keeping our distance so I don't get attacked again", I say. I grab my stuff and slip on my jacket. I leave with my purse in my hand. I open my phone and call Clark.

"Hey Clark can you pick me up at Lex's mansion", I ask.

"Of course", Clark replies. I see Clark run with his super speed and I look around.

"How the hell do you expect us to both get home", I ask raising an eyebrow. Clark picks me up and runs home. He sets me down and I shake my head playfully. "Really", I say.

"Really", Clark laughs. I go inside and upstairs. I take off my makeup and take my hair out of its messy bun. I change into a tank top and yoga shorts. I sigh and set my stuff out on my dresser. I hear a noise come from my bathroom. This time I grab a gun out from my dresser and walk in my bathroom cautiously. I look around gun at the ready. I don't see anyone so I leave my bathroom. I stick my gun back in my dresser. I lock my bathroom door from the outside, my door, and my window. I get in bed and go to sleep.
