XVI- recovering

Ella's POV
It had been a couple days since castlecoming, Bridget had been missing since that night and nobody had informed Ella of what had happened yet. When she asks people just laugh and walk away which has left her in an extremely worried state.

She decided to finally go up and check on Bridget, she definitely had enough time to cool off now. She rushed to Bridget's dorm, she had never seen her act in such a way. I mean she's basically been in hibernation for like 4 days. Hook hasn't really been around either, I mean she's seen him walk out of classes and stuff but Bridget hasn't even attended those.

Ella knocked on Bridget's door, it only took one knock for Bridget to angrily shout, "Go away!" Ella frowned, this was already really different. "B..? It's me Ella." She said, leaning against the door in an attempt to listen in.

"Okay? Go away." Bridget obviously still hadn't cooled off. Ella just decided to walk in anyway, noticing that the door was unlocked. She scanned the room Bridget was even in sight until she sat up from her bed, it was obvious she hadn't moved.

"Are you deaf?" Bridget asked in an annoyed voice. Ella didn't know what to say, it was as if she was face to face with a completely different person. "Jesus Ella, just leave me alone!" Bridget became impatient with the silence, she believed Ella to be judging her.

"Bridget I don't think it's morally right for me to leave you like this... you're obviously not okay." Ella sat on the end of Bridget's bed looking at her. "Oh now you care?" Bridget sternly stared at her.

"I always care B, why would I not care?" Ella tried to be caring but Bridget was having none of it, "you didn't care. You weren't there." Bridget said that with 0 emotion, Ella didn't realise she was part of the reason Bridget was so mad. "I didn't know it was happening B! If I did I would have been there in a heartbeat you know that!" Ella tried to defend herself but Bridget was ready with loads of points.

"How could you not know it was happening! Everybody, I mean EVERYBODY was laughing Ella. Laughing at me. At what I looked like.." Bridget almost started to cry again, "You were too busy with Charming to care." Bridget was fighting the tears, "Bridget! That's exactly what you did all last week! We have barely spoke because you've been too busy with Hook." Ella felt bad for using that point against her.

"You didn't need me Ella! Uliana turned me into a monster.. LITERALLY! And you abandoned me." Bridget stopped fighting as she felt a tear escape her eye. Ella went silent, "so that's what happened." Ella's inside voice said to herself. "How could you abandon me like that?" Bridget's voice broke while saying that.

"Bridget I didn't know-" Bridget managed to cut her off, "I don't care anymore Ella honestly! Just get the hell out honestly. You're chance to redeem yourself as my best friend was the night of castlecoming so your about 4 days late. Now, LEAVE ME ALONE." Bridget had never experienced so much hate and anger. Ella didn't want to cause any more trouble so she quickly stood and left.

Ella couldn't help but cry as she closed the door, she felt as though she had officially lost her best friend and it was her own fault..

Hooks POV
He had tried to build up courage to speak to Bridget but he felt horrible, he wouldn't blame her if she totally hated him now. When he walked past her dorm today though he saw Ella sat outside her door in tears.

"Ella?" He asked, Ella responding in a quick wipe of her tears. "Hook- hey!" She said standing up, trying to recover that. "Are you.. okay?" He asked, her eyes were really red so it would've been noticeable she was crying anyway.

"Yeah- uh sorry are you here to see Bridget?" She asked, pointing at her door. Hook nodded but quickly changed his answer, "well uh- I've been trying to build courage." He shrugged.
Ella blocked the door, "I wouldn't anyway, she's.. not herself.." Ella sounded sad. Hook frowned when she said that, Bridget must be reason she was crying.

"I want to at least try.." he tried to get past her, "I heavily recommend against it Hook im serious she's not herself." Ella put her hand out to try and stop him, "I'm aware but you are aware of who I am right? I'm not about to get my feelings hurt by some prissy pink princess." He chuckled, he was joking trying to make light of a bad situation. Ella sighed and let him through.

"Bridgettt" hook walked in, trying to do what she used to do. Remain positive. "Go awayyy" she responded mocking his tone. "Okay.." he walked over to her. She didn't even want to look at him, she was angry. Nothing they had was real, or at least that's what she believed.

Bridget was lying on the opposite side to where Hook was standing just trying to avoid him. He stood staring at her, not sure what to say. "Bridget, I want to help." He tried to sound comforting, Bridget just scoffed, "I don't want your help. I offered you my support and you took advantage of that. That's all I have to say." She rolled her eyes, still avoiding him.

"You don't actually believe Uliana right?" Hook sat next to her, "I knew about the prank, I knew you were involved before it even happened and I still got hurt by it. That's the most hurt I've ever been Hook. You walked all over my happiness." Bridget sat up again, not wanting to look up at him but she did to help give her points emotion.

"What did you want me to do Bridget?" Hook shrugged, "Stop her!" She snapped at him quite quickly. Hook sighed and looked down, "Okay.. I'll be honest with you. I knew what was going to happen." He said, bridget raised her eyebrows at him, "I knew that." She rolled her eyes again. "I knew what she was going to do! And I didn't stop her." He carried on, "Because I was scared." Bridget's expression changed to a confused one, "I was scared what she might do to me.. or you if I ruined her stupid revenge plan." He didn't want to look at her now because he knew it was a stupid excuse.

"Why didn't you just tell me if you were scared?" She asked, starting to listen more. "I honestly thought you would keep your pinkie promise." He laughed, bridget nodded, "Yeah I shocked myself with that one." She didn't laugh, but he could tell she was being sarcastic. "Aren't you shocking yourself with this behaviour?" He asked, "I mean since when are you the type of person to shout and get angry, or make your best friend cry.." he looked up so they were making eye contact.

"I don't care if I made her cry, she deserves to feel how she made me feel.." Bridget did feel genuine anger there which shocked Hook more, "What?" He asked just to double check he heard her right, "Ella promised me she'd always be there and then when I needed her the most she left me all because she was too busy dancing with her stupid prince. I won't let her forget that." Bridget found herself clenching her fists again, never would she had guessed she'd feel these feelings against Ella.

Hook didn't know if he liked this side of her or not so he decided to just leave, "are we like good..? Or should I just not come back." Hook couldn't pick up on what Bridget was feeling, "Can you just go away please, and tell Ella never to come back and tell everybody else to stop bothering me!" Bridget went back to being angry, Hook slowly nodded, "I'll just come back in a few days to check on you." He smiled at her, not receiving one back but he didn't mind he knew she was hurting.

I honestly believe Bridget in the movie had every right to be a villain and I was so mad when they turned her good at the end. LIKE KEEP HER EVIL SHES BETTER EVIL 😪
