e!news A tribute to Delilah Stroll featuring ex-boyfriend Lando Norris and former best friend Brooklynn Stewart.

After a wonderful formula one performance a month ago in Jeddah with her ending up in P7, Delilah Stroll has decided to say goodbye to her sport, forever. We were shocked to hear the news, but we saw it coming because of her earlier leave three years ago. We've interviewed her ex boyfriend Lando Norris and former best friend Brooklynn Stewart after their last race in Abu Dhabi, about her story and who she was. 

"Back when me and Delilah were racing in formula two, we had a great relationship. Obviously after she left she cut me off just like now, but I got it. She crashed pretty hard. The passion she had for the sport was insane, but there was always a dark side for her. The interviews, the press conferences, the huge amount of people, it always got to her head. She suffered from severe social anxiety, making this part of the sport incredibly hard for her." Brooklynn tells us. 

"I'm not the one to fill you in on the story and what happened in her past and younger years, but I know and can tell you it wasn't pleasant. She used to cope with it great though, always happy, being able to make people smile whenever she was around, yeah" Brooklynn finished with. 

We asked Lando what his experiences were with Delilah and their relationship.

"Delilah has some sort of aura around her, it's indescribable. It affects you when you're with her. When we met, we didn't get along great, but something happened and it changed. Her personality is wonderful. She knows exactly what to say and when to say it, which is quite admirable. To fill in on Brooklynns story, Delilah was quite the overthinker, always making up worst case scenarios, it was probably part of the social anxiety. I think the Social anxiety came out in Jeddah in that interview with that woman. She always fiddles with her ring when she's anxious, and she does exactly that. After I got her away from there, she calmed down and told me she couldn't do it anymore, and that she would leave forever. I want her back, that i'll admit, but she's ignoring all of us." he told us.

"My relationship with her was great though. I don't think i've ever felt as loved as she made me feel and yeah, I- I miss her, a lot. I still love her, I think a part deep down inside of me will always actually love her, and I hope she knows that" he ends his story with a sad smile.
