READING THE news about Delilah felt like a smack in the face. I know we're not friends for that long, but her being able to keep something that big from me said enough.

I've been distant to her ever since i've read that article, yes, i'm acting like a dick, but it hurts me that she didn't say a word about it. about being a fucking formula 2 driver.

On the other hand, I should've known, she gave us enough hints. I could've googled it, there are wikipedia pages about her, whole fan sites telling how she's an icon and inspiration for young female drivers. It honestly amazes me.

I found out she was best friends with Brooklynn Stewart, a formula 2 driver, but broke off the friendship completely when she crashed. It shocked me how much I could find about her online, and it surprised me I never thought about googling her.

And there I was now, stood in front of the door to her room. She stayed with me on a yacht for the last three days, and I started avoiding her since yesterday, after Max's post.

I knock on the door twice. "Delilah?" I shout, not wanting to just barge in and maybe stumble in on her changing or anything.

"Yeah?" The sound of her voice is like music to my ears. It's so fucking beautiful.

A few seconds after her response the door swings open and her face is shown, a smile forming around her lips.

Every time I see her, i'm even more mesmerized by the fact she's so breathtakingly beautiful, easily one of the prettiest girls i've ever met, to be fair. She's fierce, sassy, but really sweet when she needs to be, and she's smart.

I've hooked up with many girls, had a few relationships, but none of them felt like how I'm feeling about Delilah, no, she's different.

"Can we talk?" I ask her, and she shrugs before stepping away from the door, allowing me inside. It's early in the morning, the sun just rising above the horizon.

She hops down onto her bed before looking at me. "What's the matter Lan?" She asks. Ever since we started 'dating' she's been calling me that, Lan, but I don't mind it one bit. It's cute.

I sit down next to her and bite on my lip. "Why didn't you tell me you drove in formula 2?" I get straight to the point, not wanting to avoid it any longer.

"I uhm-" She hesitates, eyes looking everywhere but at my face. "Because I don't want to be associated with it anymore." She eventually says, her hands put onto her laps.

I can tell she's nervous. She's fidgeting with her ring, so, I grab her hands.

"But it's so cool Lily! You should see what people write about you on google, they think you're an Icon Delilah, that's amazing!" I tell her, my words being nothing other than the truth.

She rolls her eyes and finally, finally looks at me. "They didn't think I was an Icon when I crashed into that wall. I needed a break back then, and I took it. And although it might've been a bit longer before I returned, i'm never getting into a race car again. I like being on the sidelines."

I nod at her words. "I understand, Although i'm still questioning about why you didn't tell me about it."

"Because I didn't want that to be the subject we talk about. I like being me, like who I am right now. I've changed."

"Okay, I understand. Whatever you do, you're still the same Delilah to me" I hesitate before adding. "And i'm sorry for being distant after yesterday, the news just shocked me, a lot."
