Lan Wangji arrived at his dorm after a long day of classes, the hallways quiet as most students were still in their late afternoon lectures. He pushed open the door to his room, expecting to see both his roommates there. Instead, only Wei Wuxian was sprawled out on Lan Wangji's bed, a mischievous grin spreading across his face as he looked up from the book he was pretending to read.
"Lan Zhan, you're back!" Wei Wuxian exclaimed, sitting up and tossing the book aside. "You're early."
Lan Wangji couldn't help the small smile that tugged at his lips. "Class ended early today. Where are the others?"
"Off sulking somewhere, probably. He said something about a club meeting," Wei Wuxian replied with a dismissive wave. "So, it's just you and me."
Lan Wangji set his bag down and walked over to his bed, where Wei Wuxian now sat cross-legged. "Did you finish your assignments?"
Wei Wuxian rolled his eyes playfully. "Yes, Mom. I finished them. Now, come here." He grabbed Lan Wangji's hand and pulled him down to sit beside him.
Lan Wangji complied, sitting down and immediately feeling the tension of the day begin to melt away. Wei Wuxian's presence had always had a calming effect on him, a soothing balm to his often-stressed mind.
"Did you miss me?" Wei Wuxian teased, leaning in close, his eyes sparkling with mischief and something softer.
"Yes," Lan Wangji admitted quietly, his gaze fixed on Wei Wuxian's face. "I always miss you."
Wei Wuxian's playful expression softened into something more tender. "I missed you too, Lan Zhan." He leaned in, brushing his lips gently against Lan Wangji's.
Lan Wangji closed his eyes, savoring the warmth and sweetness of the kiss. His hand found its way to the back of Wei Wuxian's neck, pulling him closer. The kiss deepened, their breaths mingling in the quiet room.
When they finally pulled apart, both were slightly breathless. Wei Wuxian's fingers traced the line of Lan Wangji's jaw, his eyes filled with affection. "You know, Lan Zhan, sometimes I still can't believe we're together like this."
Lan Wangji cupped Wei Wuxian's cheek, his thumb brushing lightly against his skin. "It's real, Wei Ying. And I'm grateful for every moment we have."
Wei Wuxian smiled, leaning into Lan Wangji's touch. "You're such a romantic, Lan Zhan. I love it."
Lan Wangji's lips curved into a rare, soft smile. "I love you, Wei Ying."
Wei Wuxian's eyes sparkled with emotion as he leaned in for another kiss. This one was slower, more lingering, as if they were trying to pour all their feelings into it.
