The reader is an imposter like in among us, but for those who don't know, that means that you pretend to be like the other drones, but you are actually some shape-shifting monster that's killing them off. You betray your friends in this, by the way(most of them).
The lore reason is that the disassembly drones weren't enough, and something else needed to eliminate all drones, and that's where you come in. You're from an elite colony of aliens.

Also, 6.66k reads. Nice. All jokes aside, this is the most attention that I've gotten for something I've made.

Uzi-
She felt hurt and betrayed, as she realized that you were some alien invader eating all of her friends. She tried to fight you, but you managed to sneak away very quickly before she could do anything.
She went searching for you, but now she tries to act like that never happened, unaware that you are pretending to be N.

N-
He never even suspected you as being the one to kill J because you seemed to be innocent/unassuming, but then he saw you unhinge your jaw like some kind of snake and gobble up a worker drone, and he realized that you were no simple worker. He'd actually try to reason with you a bit at first, but then would have no choice but to attack once he realized that there was no other viable option.
You defeated him and then went around pretending to be him. Anyone who questioned you mysteriously disappeared, and when they suspected N of being strange, you pretended to be someone else.

V-
She had trusted you. She had believed that you wouldn't betray her, yet you killed every other drone on Copper 9. She knew it wasn't for the sake of the original mission, as you had killed N and J as well, and so she confronted you, swords drawn.
You revealed your true form, some grey thing with a blank visor and sharp teeth. The two of you fought to the teeth, and you came out on top, changing your form to look like her and repairing the escape pod to begin your travels to another planet, where you could kill another colony of drones.

J-
Each day, someone would disappear, and she didn't think much of it until she realized that you were almost always near where they had disappeared. She brought it up in conversation, hoping to catch you in the act, and you played it off as coincidence; she didn't believe you, and she accused you of killing everyone, and so you revealed yourself, attacking and killing her to steal her identity and move on.
You completed your mission, but you felt rather....hollow. Perhaps you had grown attached.

Thad-
He immediately grew suspicious of you since you always happened to be around the corpses of the drones, and you played it off as coincidence. When he didn't believe you, you acted as though you carried along with your day, but you shape-shifted to another drone and killed someone else in front of him, and you watched as fighting ensued.
You had gotten away with everything.

Doll-
She wanted to trust you, but she knew that something was wrong. You felt strange to her, almost as if you were something else pretending to be a drone. She was overcome by sadness, but she knew what she had to do. She caught you by surprise with her Solver and killed you before you could kill her, hoping that she had made the right decision.

Lizzy-
She always found evidence at the scenes of the murders, and you knew that she was going to find and expose you, so you knew what you had to do - you changed your form to look like Doll, got close, and then you killed her. Now, all attention was on Doll, and nobody suspected you for anything.

Cyn-
She knew. In fact, it is why she saved you when you first met. She saw a use for you, and the two of you are weirdly close as a result.

Khan-
He didn't want to believe that you were killing everyone - you're an innocent teacher, after all! But he was wrong. You were a monster, unlike the ones he'd seen. You were worse than the disassembly drones, and he knew that as you unhinged your jaw and stabbed him with your razor-sharp tongue. In his final moments, he wondered if your friendship was genuine or not.

Tessa-
You were always with her, helping her and making sure that the 'imposter' never got to her, so she never suspected a thing when you entered her room unannounced and began speaking to her. You waited until she turned around, and then you stabbed her 5 times in the back.
A tear fell down your visor, and you blankly stared in the mirror, wondering why you had begun to cry. You didn't want to admit it, but you began to regret killing her. It gets lonely when nobody else is interesting or cares for you.

Alice-
You, her, and Beau were the only ones in that part of the facility, so you trusted each other. Alice soon learned of your secret and was weirdly accepting of it, offering you the corpses of her victims and thinking of ways to use you to get past the sentinels, since you aren't truly a drone.
You'd find a way to escape together.

Nori-
She knew that you were strange the moment she met you since you acted like a puppet on strings. Your movements and emotions felt exaggerated, as if you were forcing yourself to act like a normal drone.
She attacked you with her pickaxe and watched in horror as your wound closed up and your jaw unhinged, displaying the cavern of dangerous spikes in your head and your tongue reached out and stabbed through her before she could do anything.
She was the only one in the way. Now, you could complete your mission.

Yeva-
She was close to you, but she knew deep down that something was off. You always acted strangely. One night, she heard strange sounds and peeked around the corner to see your horrifying figure crouched over a half devoured drone, and she was horrified, letting out a gasp. She heard you breathing and knew that she was no longer safe, and so she ran, getting caught and eaten by you.
