Jelousy

Niki's POV

I leaned away after kissing Mai on the lips. She retracted her head too, and a small blush crept onto her cheeks.

"Damn, what a long wait for that," she joked and I finally laughed.

Mai was my childhood best friend, our mums knew each other through work. She had had liked me once, when we were 15, but now she was having a big fat crush on the one of the student councillors.

"So who's this guy you're trying to impress?" I asked, still holding her in my arms to keep up the act.
She shushed me and placed a finger on my lips, eyeing a passer by, which made me look towards where she was glancing.
A tall, male, walked past us with a smile on his lips, and his side part covered his eyes, but I knew from the body structure who it was.

I gasped when Mai sighed dreamily and I whacked her arm.

"K hyung?!!!"

"Oh! Um-"

"Girl," I tightened my grip on her arms, "you like my one and only example in this school and I basically have a crush on him too-wait that sounds weird." Mai laughed when I gave her the bombastic side eye.

"I mean...he's cute! And come on, how could you not fall for such leadership and handsomeness..." she trailed off, eyes hooded as she sighed again.

Oh god.

"How the hell are we supposed to make him jealous?" I pinched her cheek and she grunted in annoyance.

"I don't know, dumbass, you wanted this," she threw back and I nodded wisely.

She rolled her eyes when I shrugged.

Suddenly, her eyes widened slightly and a visible gulp ran down her throat. "Uh...Riki, you're 3 'o' clock," she whispered, and I instinctively gripped her my hands on her waist because I thought it was her abusive ex or something.

But when I turned, I was met with a glaring Sunoo hyung, who only seemed to notice I caught him a few seconds later. His eyes met mine for a brief minute before he blushed, looking away.

I raised an eyebrow as I turned back to face Mai, who was grinning mischievously.

"Omg, I think it's working."

"How though? All he did was glare, he probably thought I was hitting on you because he rejected me," I told her, but she just shook her head with a tsk.

"Nooo! Ok, watch," she said, and she gripped my shirt.

"Watch what-mm!"

My lips met hers, but I knew she knew this was just as a fake so I didn't kiss her back. She held it there for a moment before releasing me, and I gaped at her, confused.

She just smirked, glints of tease in her eyes, and he jerked her head to her right.
I peeked over at me left, and saw yet again, Sunoo hyung glaring at us again.

No, not us, Mai.

"See? He's jealous," she whispered, in my ear instead of from where she was, and I could feel holes being burned in the side of my head.
