How often do you think about why your friends came into your life? Was it random, by design, or maybe a little of both? Regardless of the reason, some friends you just know are gonna be by your side for a while. Others, you're not so sure. And then there's that one friend who, well, you hope, someday becomes something more. But friend will have to do for now. And that's okay. I guess.

Have you ever told yourself that you would never love anyone? And then you meet this one specific person, and they change everything that you knew and before you knew it you love them? Yeah, me too. My person is Barry Allen. Before he came into my life, I thought love was stupid, reckless, dangerous and really dumb. But then I met him when he came to the house when he was 11 and everything, I thought I knew and believed went out the door that day.

I walk over to Barry and Iris as they stand by the bar with shot glasses raised up.

"What are we taking shots for?" I ask them as I stand in front of them.

"Here. I got you one." Barry tells me as he hands me the shot glass.

"To friends, old and new." Iris tells us as we clink our glasses together then take the shot.

"Whoo!" I exclaim as it burns down my throat.

"Ooh. I'm up. Wish me luck." Iris tells us and then walks over towards her boyfriend and Barry carries a tray of shots as we walk over to Caitlin and Cisco.

"Guys? I have a problem." Barry tells them.

"We all do when guys like him exist." Cisco tells him as he looks at Eddie and we all look over at him and Iris.

"Yeah, he's so hot. Uh, I mean, genetically speaking. Because I'm a geneticist, of course. Oh, my god do I sound like Felicity?" Caitlin asks.

"Meh, he's not my type." I tell them.

"I'm not talking about Eddie. I'm talking about this. I can't feel anything." Barry tells us as he drinks the shots with his superspeed.

"Yeah, that's usually what happens when you drink too much." Cisco tells him.

"No, the alcohol is not affecting me. I mean I literally feel nothing." Barry tells us.

"Lucky, I think I'm like a couple shots away from being completely drunk." I tell him.

"It's your hypermetabolism. I need a sample." Caitlin tells Barry.

"I'll get more shots." Cisco tells us.

"I'll help." I tell him and me and him walks over to the bar and then walk back over to Caitlin and Barry, and we take the shots, and we look at Barry.

"Still nothing?" Cisco asks.

"I can't get drunk. I mean, I'm only 25 and my drinking days are already over." Barry tells us.

"Come on, Allen. You're up. There was a bombing on 8th and Pass. Sorry, guys." Eddie tells us as he walks out of the bar.
