I walk into S.T.A.R. Labs ignoring Cait and Cisco's argument when I gasp and run to Barry as he lays on the floor.
"Barry!" I exclaim as I run over and kneel down to him and Wells, Caitlin and Cisco joins me.
"Barry? Are you okay?" Caitlin asks him and he groans, and she gasps as we all look at his hand. *** "13 fractures. That's a new record, and that's just in your hand. You also have a concussion, three cracked ribs, and a bruised spleen. Even with your powers, you'll need a few hours to heal." Caitlin tells Barry as he lays in the hospital bed.
"What exactly did you hit?" Wells asks.
"A man. A big, bad man. His skin changed when I hit him. Like, it turned to metal." Barry tells him.
"Interesting. A man of steel." Wells tells him.
"So, you went after a meta human alone? Dude why didn't you call us?" Cisco asks.
"Or me? I would've helped you." I tell Barry.
"I didn't know what he was. Besides, I was off duty." Barry tells us as he sits up and I help him.
"Hmm." Caitlin tells him and Barry looks over at him.
"You're lucky he didn't knock out your teeth. Those puppies don't grow back." Cisco tells Barry.
"The strange thing is I feel like I knew him." Barry tells us.
"What do you mean?" Caitlin asks.
"He said something that was familiar, but he's gonna hurt someone if we don't stop him. So how do I fight a guy that's made of steel?" Barry asks.
"We will find a way. Tonight, you heal." Wells tells him.
"Yeah." Barry agrees and I help him lay back down on the bed. *** I'm working my shift at Jitters with Iris, and I stand next to her as we stand at the in front of the counter inside Jitters.
"I've been meaning to ask you where's your shadow?" Tracy asks Iris.
"What shadow?" Iris asks her.
"Barry. He doesn't come in when you are." Tracy tells her.
"Getting his fix from someone else." Iris tells her.
"Too bad. He's cute, I kind of miss having him around." Tracy tells her and then walks away.
