As Ash lay on his bed, frustration mounting, he couldn't shake the feeling that time was slipping away. The mark on his wrist and the unsettling discoveries weighed heavily on him. He knew he had to go back into the forest—there was something there he needed to uncover, something that might offer answers or perhaps even a way to lift the curse.

He glanced at the clock on his bedside table. It was already getting dark outside. Ash knew he had to act quickly before it became too late. An idea struck him: he could sneak out through the window again, just like before. His father might have forbidden him to go out, but Ash wasn't about to let that stop him.

Ash quietly slipped out of his bed, careful not to make any noise that might alert his father. He quickly gathered his bag slung it over his shoulder and checked the window.

The moonlight provided just enough illumination to see by. Ash opened the window slowly and threw his bag outside, making sure it landed quietly on the grass below. He climbed out with practised ease, landing softly on the lawn, and grabbed his bag.

He smirked this was too easy. As Ash was going to start his adventure to the forest, he heard an angry yell.

"ASTON ADAM'S EDWARDS WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" the voice yelled. Ash froze on the spot he soon slowly turned around to be visited by his father's piercing eyes staring into Ash's soul.

Ash gulped, his heart racing as he faced his father's furious gaze. "I was just... going for a walk," he stammered, struggling to come up with a believable excuse. His father's eyes narrowed, but before he could respond, Ash seized the moment, blurting out, "I need some space to think, Dad. It's important!"

Ash could tell his father was confused and hesitated before speaking.

"Aston, what could be so important at this time? I told you that you aren't leaving! Get in your room now!" He said

"But dad-!" Ash tried to protest

"I don't want to hear it, Aston." His father said sternly. "You have been lying to me way too much." Ash could see his father's glassy eyes. So without a word, Ash left to go to his room.
