As he arrived at school, he was greeted by the familiar drudgery of the school day. Classes dragged on, the teachers' voices a dull hum compared to the vivid nightmares that haunted his thoughts. He struggled to concentrate on his lessons, his mind constantly wandering back to the forest and the symbol burned into his wrist.

In history class, the lesson about ancient civilizations felt particularly ironic. Ash couldn't help but think about the ancient curse and the Feralim, and how he was now entwined in a story that seemed to echo the very myths his father used to drone on about. He couldn't focus on the discussion of ancient Greek politics, instead replaying the scene of his encounter with the creature and the glowing symbol in his mind.

During lunch, Ash sat alone, picking at his food. His usual table, once a place of comfort, felt alien now. His thoughts kept drifting back to his father's stern face and the disapproving silence that hung between them. Ash tried to push aside his worries, but the feeling of isolation only grew stronger.

As the day dragged on, the dread of his mission in the forest grew heavier. He knew he couldn't ignore the problem much longer. With each passing hour, the need to return to the forest became more urgent, but the responsibilities of school and the tension at home kept him trapped in a suffocating cycle.

The final bell rang, signalling the end of the school day. Ash packed his bag with a sense of relief but also anxiety about his next steps. As he walked home, he felt the weight of the world on his shoulders. The forest beckoned him with its dark secrets, but his family's expectations and the mockery of his peers added to his burden.
