So as any normal person whose life is in danger from some forest monster, he decided to go back to the forest to explore. It has to be safer in the daytime, right? That's what most books and movies say.
Ash rushed home determined to uncover the truth, Ash gathered supplies for another venture into the forest. He was no longer driven by curiosity and the feeling to prove to everyone that the monsters exist (which they do, and he's marked by the guardian and is in deep water) but by a deeper need to understand what he had encountered. Armed with a stronger flashlight, a map, a compass and a bottle of water, he prepared for an adventure that might end him in the afterlife.
"Aston you better not get yourself killed," he told himself as he headed out of his room and downstairs. "Or get eaten by that guardian that you promised not to ever come back to the forest."
As Ash's hand touched the handle of the door his father spoke up.
"Aston... where are you going? It's nearly 6." He spoke in a tired voice "You have school tomorrow."
Ash turns his head around "I- erm... Was going to get some fresh air?" Ash said trying to sound believable. His father raised his brow and sighed.
"Aston. You are not going out. It's getting dark you are staying inside. Did you even finish your homework?" His father asked with a tinge of annoyance as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
Ash rolled his eyes and sighed. "Ash..." he said under his breath. His father simply points to Ash's room. Ash grumbled and stormed into his room and slammed the door. "Ugh" He groans as he slung his bag off his bag and tossed it to the corner of his room and face-planted into his bag groaning into his pillow. "Stupid dad." He mumbled.
He knew his dad was just saying that for the better of him, but he couldn't help feeling a bit annoyed by his father's consent-nagging. It just irritates him.
