Hello dear readers,
This is slightly off-topic, but it weighed down on my heart so much that I couldn't help it. The heinous crime committed in R. G. Kar hospital in Kolkata has left me shattered since some time now; not only as a human for all that happened to the innocent doctor doing her job, but also because I tend to look at her as our very own Dr Sujata. The striking resemblance this victim has had with Dr Sujata made me feel the entire incident even more severely, as if I had a very personal connection with her just like I have with my character. I feel like all that happened with our Dr Sujata.
I cannot even imagine the pain her and her family are still going through, and it is with the utmost shame and resentment that I am reminded again that her criminals are still out there roaming unpunished. I wonder how many more of such women are to be sacrificed until the people and the system's eyes are opened wide awake.
It's bloody 2024. Our women, our doctors, our social workers are still not safe in their own workplaces. With what face do we talk about development and modernism and a progressed society?
HER ASSAILANTS SHOULD'VE BEEN MERCILESSLY K*LLED BY NOW.
SHE MUST GET THE JUSTICE THAT SHE DESERVES.
This incident has been as good as a personal loss for me; I've not only mourned a real woman and medical hero, but also my character, my creation, a loved one that was a part of my soul.
I think if our P C Mitter would've been here, he too would have strived for the same. Justice.
Sorry if I vented out,
But staying silent was never an option.~Carotenoids
