For the rest of this day boys decided to not split again. After a good while of walking around the village they realized this place has a very limited options of entertainment. There was only one restaurant, and since it was getting late, they decided to go there for dinner.
They were greeted by, surprisingly, young woman. Being only two years older than him, she was stunned and happy to finally see someone her age. She hated living in this village, and working in her parents' restaurant, but she had to money to leave. She realized the best thing she can do as a waitress is to be nice.
But there was one person, she couldn't stop looking at. Unknown feeling in her chest showed up, making it hard to breathe. In her eyes one of the boys was different from the rest. Tall, handsome... she imagined him as someone who could get her out of this place.
You got this girl! It's probably one in a lifetime opportunity. My only chance to escape this shithole!
"Good evening, what can I get for you?" she tried to look as alluring as possible, even though her legs were shaking.
"Ramen!" Nendou yelled. Luckily there were no other people in the restaurant, so at least it wasn't as embarrassing as always.
So strong and kind of wild... he really shows his true masculinity.
She blushed, and everybody saw that... except Nendou. He wasn't aware of what was going on. That's why when they all ordered food, and the young waitress left, Kuboyasu and Kaidou gave their friend shocked look.
"Do you realize what's going on?" Kaidou asked under his breath.
"Yes" Nendou replied with full confidence "We're waiting for our food. Why are you both so confused about that?"
"We..." Kuboyasu sighed resignedly "You're the one confused. She has a crush on you"
Nendou stayed quiet for a few seconds, until suddenly he burst out with laugh. He even slammed the table with his hand making everything shake dangerously.
"You moron!" Kaidou whispered trying hard to not make the napkin holder fall.
"You're just fooling me because you know I'll believe you. I'm not falling for this guys"
'The only person fooling you could potentially be this girl, but she's clearly having some real feelings for you'
"Well" he pretended to think for a few seconds "If Saiki says so, then it must be true" he stopped again. Kaidou and Kuboyasu were waiting nervously "I'm gonna talk to her later"
They looked at each other heavily breathing out in relief. Saiki didn't care in the slightest. Although it was the first time he couldn't predict the future by others' thoughts.
I hate when I have to guess the future instead of just reading it from people's mind. This is another reason why I don't sympathise with Nendou. He's truly unpredictable.
As only clients, they didn't have to wait long until their food was ready. Steaming noodles and soups, along with fragrant veggies and other side dishes made them twice as hungry as they were before.
They ate in complete silence. The waitress was staring at all of them, but she mostly focused on Nendou. She caught herself standing like this in an awkward position, and quickly twirled around.
Aren finished eating first, and was now slowly drowning into an ocean of thoughts, zooming out of reality.
My love live is absolutely miserable... and I'm having this feeling. It's like I'm being hurt, but it's just me watching my friend potentially finding love of his live. Maybe that's exaggeration, but I still can't help but feel jealous.
