Carol Lockwood read off the next ticket that was meant for Alaric in the raffle.

"That's me." Jenna smiles holding her ticket up, she stood up from the table. "Congratulations." Carol smiles handing the ticket to Jenna.

Jenna heads towards Caroline claiming her date.

"And bachelor number 5, Damon Salvatore." Carol grabs the next ticket to see who won. "37752, oh would you look at that, 37752." She chuckles. "It's me."

Carol looks around to see Damon not around in the bar.

Alaric looks around as well when Jenna approaches him with a big smile. "I'll call you later." Alaric says to Jenna.

He turns away walking outside of the grill when he stops in the cold night.

4 years earlier, North Carolina

"Don't you think it's time to let this vampire crap go?." Alaric asks Isobel.

The couple were in their bedroom arguing over Isboel's trips to Mystic Falls all the time and her obsession with vampires.

Alaric felt like he was losing grip on his marriage, his wife.

"The research, the trips, It's becoming obsession." Isobel looks at her husband sitting on their bed as she paced the room. "This is important to me, Rick." Isobel protests softly. "Why? Why is it so important?." Alaric asks. "Explain it to me. I mean, make me understand."

Isobel rubs her lips together, her eye not exactly meeting Alaric's when she looks down at the floor. She didn't answer him and the silence was thick.

"I mean, what's the point of this? You don't want kids." Alaric shrugs. "You're barely ever home. I want us to be normal people." Isobel rolls her neck feeling irritation from all this with Alaric.

Why couldn't he just let be that she wasn't happy with human life she thought to herself.

"Baby I don't want to. Maybe I want more." Isobel answers.

Present Time, Mystic Falls

Alaric reels himself back from the memory and his angry boiling more for Damon.

Why did he kill his wife? Did he turn her? Why did Isobel want more?. All these memories circled his mind while walking to his car.

He opens the trunk of his car with his car key, the lights turn on in the trunk seeing the duffle full of his vampire hunting gear, unzipping the bag Alaric pulls out a wooden stake.

It's going to be a suicide mission but it's a hundred percent going to be worth it he thought to himself. Avenge his wife and get answers.

Alaric shut the trunk rounding around the car to the driver side getting in after unlocking the vehicle.

Tonight was the night he's going to kill Damon Salvatore.

"Here we go home sweet home." Matt helped his mom into the living room.

Kelly had one too many at The Grill and didn't even have the sobriety for her date she won through the raffle.

"Wait, wait, why are we back here? I wasn't ready to leave." Kelly slurs her speech. Matt sets his mom onto the couch. "Yes, you were ready to leave."

Matt sits next to Kelly on the couch. "You're the best, Matty." She drunkenly smiles. "I know." Matt sighs. Kelly rubs her hands together trying to find the words, she felt the guilt creep in of how she's been leaving her kids.
