Chapter 19: Warrior's Ambition

Harbin has always had this ideology of world peace. They want the world to come together and they want wars to be abolished. This however is a near impossible feat. From a young age, they always watched movies and tv shows about war and the army. This inspired them to want to join the army. They had a very loving and stable family. Just them, their mother, and their father. They rarely ever argued.

One day, they decided to go out on a family trip to the shopping centre.

Harbin's Mother: How are you feeling today? I know you weren't feeling very well yesterday.

Harbin: I feel great today!

Harbin's Father: We'll get you some donuts later.

Harbin: YAY!

They spent the next couple of hours going to different shops.

Harbin's Mother: Have we got everything?

Harbin's Father: I think so.

Harbin's Mother: Amazing!

Harbin: This was so fun!

Harbin's Mother: We're so glad you had a great time! Oh. Look over there!

Harbin's Mother points to something behind Harbin. It's a stand advertising army recruitment.

Harbin: OH MY GOSH! CAN I GO?! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

Harbin's Mother: Of course you can! You're big now. I think we can trust you by yourself for a little bit.

Harbin: YAY!

Harbin runs off to the stand. There's a lady in an army uniform.

Lady: Hey there kid!

Harbin: Hello! I love the army!

Lady: Well isn't that great! We're always looking for new recruits!

Harbin: I wanna join! Right now!

Lady: I'm sorry kid. But you gotta be at least 18 to join.

Harbin: I know! But I just really want to!

Lady: You know what. I like you. You seem really passionate about this.

Lady crouches down behind the stand and pulls an army dog tag out. She stands back up.

Lady: What's your name?

Harbin: Harbin Andreas!

Lady: Okay then, Harbin.

She begins to engrave Harbin's name into the tag. She hands it to Harbin.

Lady: When you turn 18, come to the army recruitment centre and show them that tag. They'll accept someone as passionate as you for sure!

Harbin: Really?

Lady: Of course!

Harbin starts tearing up.

Harbin: Thank you so much!

Lady: My pleasure! We need more people as excited about this as you!

Harbin starts smiling.

Lady: Go on. Go back to your parents!

Harbin: Thank you!

Harbin turns around and starts running back to their parents.

Harbin: MOM!

Harbin's Mother looks at Harbin and smiles.

Suddenly, a massive explosion occurs right on Harbin's parents. They get blown to pieces. Harbin stops and their smile immediately fades. More explosions start happening around them. The lady at the army stand gets caught in an explosion.
