Chapter 22: The Second Saviours Attack!

Lycoris is blown out of the mansion and lands on the ground outside.

Harbin: Lycoris! Are you okay!?

Harbin starts running to Lycoris.

Lycoris: Get back!

Harbin: Why?!

Cethin is also blown out of the mansion. Lycoris catches him.

Cethin: Holy shit...

Harbin: Astraia!

Harbin runs back to Astraia.

Lycoris: Get out of here. Get away. They're insomniacs.

The sounds of a chainsaw's engine is heard. A figure appears at the hole in the wall that Lycoris and Cethin were thrown through. Lycoris and Cethin stand up and stance themselves.

Cethin: This guy... Has chainsaws attached to him!

Lycoris: They aren't just attached. I think that they're part of him.

Cethin: What?!

Lycoris: It's clearly some sort of mastery. That's not hard to figure out. As you said, the chainsaws are made from twilight energy. So his mastery must have something to do with chainsaws. Like he's some sort of... Chainsaw man.

???: Hey. You guys really shouldn't be here.

The voice sounds metallic. The figure steps out of the hole and onto the ground. He's wearing a white shirt and black trousers. The chainsaw blades emerge from his arms and go straight through his hands a bit further. He has one on both arms. He has spiky orange hair, green eyes and very sharp teeth. His top two buttons are undone and there is a chainsaw cord in the middle of his chest.

Cethin: Who are you?

???: You don't deserve to know.

Lycoris: You tryna kill us?

???: I'll make sure your blood is smeared. I will live and be covered in your blood.

Lycoris and Cethin look at each other.

Cethin: Is this guy for real?

Lycoris: I'm not impressed.

The man starts walking to Lycoris and Cethin. Cethin transforms his arms. Lycoris readies his sword. The man starts charging at them.

???: I'LL KILL YOU!

He swipes the chainsaws at Lycoris and Cethin. Lycoris collides the left chainsaw with his sword and Cethin grabs his right arm and throws him back into the mansion. He jumps back out and lands on the ground again.

???: Alright! WOO! You're strong! Both of you are! That sword of yours would be perfect for me!

Lycoris: Huh? What does he mean by that?

Cethin: Not a clue.

???: It means I want your sword!

Lycoris: You aren't getting it!

???: We'll see about that!

Cethin makes his right hand extend like rubber to grab the man.

Lycoris: You can do that? Can my creature do that?

Cethin lifts him up into the air and slams him on the ground multiple times.

Cethin: It's part of the mastery. I can extend my limbs by using extra energy.
