Chapter 20: The Star

6:30AM. 26th February.

In the dorm.

Harbin opens the front door and stumbles inside. They're still holding Astraia. They slowly step through the main room when someone runs downstairs. It's Quinn.

Quinn: Holy shit- HARBIN!

Harbin: Hey...

Quinn spots Astraia.

Quinn: Who's that?

Harbin: This... is Astraia. I saved her.

Harbin begins to fall over. Quinn runs over and catches them.

Quinn: What the hell happened whilst you were out?!

Harbin: I...

Harbin passes out.

Quinn: Oh my god.

Quinn puts Harbin down and notices that they're covered in blood and have semi healed holes in their body.

Quinn: Thorus?!

Astraia: Are they okay?

Quinn: I don't know. Stay here for a sec. I'm gonna go get Mya.

Quinn runs back upstairs. Quinn runs into the command room where Mya is standing and staring at the screen.

Mya: Is Harbin back?

Quinn: Yeah! But he's- He's- Just come with me!

Quinn and Mya run out of the room and go downstairs. Mya notices Harbin and Astraia.

Mya: Are they okay?! Why is there a little girl!?

Quinn: I asked them that and they said her name is "Astraia".

Astraia: They saved me.

Quinn: They're covered in holes and blood. I think they fought Thorus.

Harbin suddenly wakes up.

Harbin: WHERE!?

Harbin quickly stands up.

Mya: Hey! Hey! He's not here.

Harbin: WHERE'S ASTRAIA!?

Astraia tugs on his trousers.

Harbin: Thank god.

Mya: What happened?!

Harbin: Let's sit down then I'll explain.

They all sit down on the sofas. Astraia sits next to Harbin.

Mya: Firstly, why is there a little girl here?

Harbin: Astraia is an insomniac. I found her whilst I was fighting Thorus.

Mya: But why were you fighting him?

Harbin: He's our enemy. He wanted to start a "rivalry" with me. And me being the battle addict I am, I obliged. We fought, I got a bit roughed up, almost killed him, then he threw me into a building whilst in his creature form and that's where I found Astraia cowering. She was scared. Thorus ended up killing both of her parents. And she has no one else to go to.

Mya: Harbin. You're such a noble person. That's why we love having you around. Your heart is so kind. You put everyone first without a second thought. But we can't look after her.

Harbin: I'm not saying we should. But I can't leave her by herself. This world is evil. She will die without guidance.

Mya: I understand your concern, but we physically can't.

Harbin: Then do you know anyone who can?! Literally anyone!

Mya: Maybe.

Harbin: WHO!?

Mya: Possibly, Lilith.

Harbin: Did you find her?!

Mya: Yeah. We're gonna go to where she is tonight. If you're well enough-

Harbin: Of course I am!

Astraia: Are you gonna give me away?

Harbin: Kind of. We can't look after you. We just can't.

Mya: Lilith loves looking after kids. She's always able to bond with them really well. And she's always wanted children, but I'm fairly certain she's infertile. So she might actually be a good candidate to look after Astraia.

Harbin: Where is she?

Mya: She lives with 3 others in an abandoned mansion.

Harbin: Really? Is that safe for her?

Mya: We won't know until we go there.

Harbin looks at Astraia.

Harbin: I don't want to leave you with someone that isn't me. I don't know how others will treat you.

Mya: Harbin.

Harbin: Right...

Mya: We'll go there tonight. Lycoris and Cethin have made a good recovery so they'll be coming with us.

Harbin: Okay.

Astraia: Don't give me away.

Harbin: I don't want to.

Astraia hugs Harbin.

Harbin: I'm sure they can look after you better than I can anyways.

Astraia: But I trust you more.

Harbin: It'll be alright.

Astraia: Are you sure?

Harbin: I'm certain. If you do end up going to them, it won't stop me from seeing you. I promised I'd help you unlock your powers.

Astraia: Oh yeah!

Harbin: And I'm sure they'll help as well. You're going to be strong. I can tell.

In Lycoris' room.

Lycoris is lying in his bed. He's looking up at the ceiling.

Lycoris: I wanna get back out there. I can't stay here. I have this uncontrollable urge to fight. I don't know what it is. But I need to fight.

Lycoris sits up. He looks at Skotadi.

Lycoris: I have this unscratchable itch. I somewhat hate the fact that we can only fight at nighttime. But that makes it all worthwhile when I can finally fight.

In Cethin's room.

Cethin is standing in the middle of his room.

Cethin: The fact that me and Lycoris were able to achieve such a phenomena really surprises me. I'm still fairly new to all of this. But I get the feeling that I could get a lot out of this as a person. I can't wait to continue fighting and improving myself.

Later on.

In a run down mansion.

A girl is walking around with a flashlight. She has dark black hair tied up in a messy bun. She also has black lipstick with thick eyeliner. Her eyes are green and her face looks subtly familiar. She's wearing a baggy blue hoodie and grey joggers. She walks down a flight of stairs. She walks down a corridor. There's a large, menacing door. She slowly opens it to reveal a room of three people. One of them is a boy sitting on the floor wearing a hood and rubbing his finger on the floor, another is a girl sitting on a chair with brunette hair and wearing a black tracksuit, and the last is a boy leaning against the wall. He has orange, spiky hair and is wearing a white button up shirt with the top 2 buttons undone and black trousers. He has a menacing look on his face.

Girl with flashlight: Second Saviours. We may have visitors soon.
