The scene before you was gruesome, to say the least. Thanks to his Permeation Quirk, Mirio had gone ahead, which meant that he'd been fighting this long, arduous battle all on his own. The injuries adorning his body were practically innumerable. He was covered in blood, bruises, sweat, and despite the fact that was barely conscious, he still managed to gasp out a few words.
"Eri, is... right... right behind me. She's... safe."
Sir Nighteye didn't waste a second before pulling both Mirio and Eri into his arms. "Amazing," Sir Nighteye mumbled, hands trembling as he held his apprentice close. "You were simply amazing, Mirio!"
Even that was an understatement. Several of Chisaki's allies were lying on the ground, fully unconscious, which was no doubt Mirio's doing. Even Chisaki himself looked worse for wear. He was beat-up, weakened, and now, he found himself facing even more opponents.
There wasn't a chance in hell that he could win.
You watched as Chisaki repeatedly slapped his hand against the ground, in a desperate but futile attempt to activate his Quirk. It was useless, because Aizawa was here. So long as he canceled the villain's Quirk, Chisaki was hardly a threat. It gave even you the leeway to charge forward, determined to incapacitate him and put an end to this hellish day.
"...WAKE UP ALREADY, KURONO!"
You blinked, and before you could even turn your head to try and figure out what was happening, you were suddenly forcefully shoved aside by Aizawa. And apparently, not a moment too soon.
One of Chisaki's allies-the man named Kurono-suddenly elongated his hair and sliced across Aizawa's arm. It was a shallow wound, and certainly not much cause for concern. That wasn't the real issue, though. Kurono's Quirk was the real threat. Thanks to Aizawa pushing you out of the way, you'd been spared, but the same couldn't be said for him. All of a sudden, his movements became unbelievably sluggish. It was as if he physically couldn't get himself to take a single step forward.
"I planned on skewering both of you at once," Kurono muttered, slowly pressing up his elbows. "As expected of heroes. You're all such-"
"Shut up. And don't you dare use your Quirk again," you glared, eyes glowing a bright, dizzying shade of pink. "From this moment onward, you are not allowed to move. Just stay right there and don't try anything. That's an order."
You were worried that your Quirk might not be effective enough, thanks to the mask that covered his entire face, but Kurono let out a heavy groan before flattening himself back down onto the ground. As long as your target was actually looking at you, your powers were able to take effect. A mask wasn't enough to get in the way. Good.
Chisaki, however, was a different story.
"Sh-Shit," Aizawa muttered. "Midoriya, [Name]... you have to... move... now! Can't... stop... from... blinking...!"
That fast, targeted strike from Kurono had clearly done its job. Aizawa's eyelids were falling shut, and thanks to his movements being drastically slowed, there was a good chance it would take a while for him to be able to use his Quirk again. You couldn't rely on Erasure anymore. You had only your own powers to fall back on.
In that case...
Time for round two, bitch.
"All of your efforts are worthless!" Chisaki screamed. He slammed his hand down on the ground yet again, except this time, his Quirk took effect.
Clearly, what you'd been dealing with through Irinika until now had been utter child's play. Chisaki's Quirk, Overhaul, was able to disassemble the ground within a fraction of a second, and when it reassembled, it had taken a different shape altogether. Sharp, jagged protrusions of the ground jutted out in just about every direction, threatening to impale you whole. You just narrowly managed to dodge, contorting your body so as not to slip and fall straight to your death. You really weren't in the mood to die today. You refused to fucking die again.
