Vivian Blackwood’s POV (Alexander's mother)

The success of the project launch had been nothing short of spectacular. However, as I returned from my business trip, my initial sense of triumph quickly morphed into something far less satisfying. Scrolling through social media on the private jet, I was bombarded with images of Alexander and Scarlett. Their close proximity and seemingly intimate interactions were plastered across every news feed and gossip column.

I wasn't here, and this much happened. I shouldn't have gone on a business trip, leaving Alexander by my side. I tried my best to make distance between them by putting Elena didn't work, but now I can see how my absence has affected it.

A chill ran down my spine as I saw them together, their chemistry so evident it was almost palpable. The thought that my son could be so visibly involved with someone like Scarlett was deeply unsettling. I had always been meticulous about maintaining control over every aspect of the Blackwood empire, and this unexpected development threatened to unravel everything.

The photos spoke volumes —Alexander and Scarlett's closeness hinted at something more than mere professional interaction. They were a striking contrast to the stoic, controlled image I had always maintained. Scarlett’s background was simple and unsophisticated, but her presence now posed a serious threat. Her burgeoning relationship with Alexander could jeopardize my entire position.

The realization that Scarlett could be a pawn in Alexander’s emotional game was a blow I hadn’t anticipated. If the media were to delve deeper into their relationship and uncover any secrets, the scandal could be devastating. I had spent years cultivating my influence and power, and the last thing I needed was a personal scandal to bring it all crashing down.

With my mind racing, I devised a plan. I needed to act swiftly and decisively to neutralize this threat before it grew out of control. I would call a press conference, and the goal was simple: discredit Scarlett publicly. I would paint her as a manipulative figure exploiting her position for personal gain. This would not only undermine her credibility but also diminish her influence over Alexander.

As I prepared my speech, I crafted it to be both inflammatory and strategic. I would portray Scarlett as a schemer, subtly implying that her involvement with Alexander was more than just an innocent affair. I needed the media and the public to see her as a threat to the Blackwood legacy.

The next day, the atmosphere at the office was charged with anticipation. The press conference was set to begin, and I could sense the tension in the air. Journalists and photographers gathered, their excitement palpable. I walked into the room with an air of practiced authority, my demeanor icy and unyielding.

Alexander stood beside me, his face a mask of strained composure. I could see the conflict in his eyes, but this was no time for sentiment. I was determined to execute my plan flawlessly. I addressed the crowd, my voice calm but carrying an unmistakable edge.

“Ladies and gentlemen,” I began, “I have gathered you here today to address a matter of utmost importance.”

The room fell silent, the weight of my words hanging heavy in the air. I continued, my voice steady and unwavering. “With great regret, I must bring to light certain... indiscretions involving my son and Miss Scarlett.”

The reaction was immediate. Gasps and murmurs filled the room as I paused, allowing the gravity of my statement to sink in. The media surged forward, their cameras flashing and their questions coming fast and furious.

“What indiscretions are you referring to, Mrs. Blackwood?” one reporter asked, their curiosity evident.

“Are you suggesting there was an inappropriate relationship between Alexander and Scarlett?” another inquired, their voice tinged with skepticism.
