AIAH

Have you ever had one person that you considered your safe place? A person who does not need to utter words but would make you feel assured just by her mere presence. And me? I used to have nothing until I found her until I met Mikha.

''I'm not mad at you, Mikha. But, do you know how much I was worried about you last night, knowing that it was late and you weren't here yet? You didn't even say where you were going. I have called you for God knows how many times. And yet, not even once you have answered.'' The tears that I had been holding back seemed like pouring rain.

Words cannot explain how worried I was about her last night. Every minute seems like an eternity as I wait for her to return. I guess it's like this when someone is significant to you.

She enveloped me in her arms and planted a lingering kiss on my forehead. We stayed in that position until my sobbing subsided.

She explained to me the reason why she came home late. She also assured me that it would not happen again.

This moment feels like a golden hour. The silence was deafening. The only thing that can be heard is our breathing and heartbeats. Despite the noise and chaos of the world, Mikha's arms serve as my sanctuary, my haven.

After sharing an intimate moment with her, we didn't realize that Sheena had entered the room.

''Rise and shine! Wake up gu-!'' She didn't finish what she was going to say after she saw Mikha and me hugging each other.

"Hello, Shee!" I greeted her.

"Good morning, Shee?" Mikha said tentatively.

"Who wouldn't have a good morning if your breakfast is a hug from your best friend Premium Pro Max? Good morning indeed." She said mischievously while playfully eyeing us.

I pressed my face even more into Mikha's neck. I didn't have to look in the mirror to know if my cheeks were blushing, I'm sure it was because I felt the heat slowly creep into my face.

"Why are you here, Shee? Do you need something?" Mikha asked, attempting to divert the topic.

"I'm sorry if I interrupted something a while ago, guys. No one told me that I was not allowed to go to your room early this morning, especially if you guys were having a sweet moment. Again, my deepest apology." This time, she couldn't contain her laugh.

"Stop with the teasing, Shee. Get out of our room. Tell the girls that we will follow soon." Mikha said.

"Okay, okay, okay. I'll stop now," She paused and smirked at us.

"By the way, can you please make it fast and don't be too loud because the girls might hear you? Also, I'm too young to be a Godmother." She added.

"What the hell, Sheena Mae! Get your fucking ass out here!" Mikha yelled as she threw a pillow to Sheena couldn't stop herself from laughing.

Fortunately, she was able to avoid it before the pillow hit her face. Just as we thought that Sheena already left, the latter opened the door and quickly stuck her head into the peek.

"But seriously guys, Mikha be gentle with Aiah, okay?" She playfully said as she immediately closed the door before another pillow hit her face.

Even though Sheena was already outside, Mikha and I could still hear her infamous laugh. If at first, I was the only one blushing, now Mikha's face has also turned crimson. It suddenly became awkward.

"Hmm, y-you want to g-go to the bathroom f-first?" Mikha stuttered.

"S-sure, I'll be f-fast so that we c-can go downstairs already." I hastily said.

Not long after, we went down to join the girls for breakfast.

"Good morning, guys. Looks like you both had a good sleep for you two to wake up this late." Colet said as she gave Mikha a knowing look.

Suddenly, Sheena burst out laughing.

"Yes, they both slept really well. Right, Mikha?" Sheena said while raising her eyebrow.

"Will you two keep your mouths shut or not? Try me." Mikha threateningly said.

"Wait, how many chapters did we miss?" Gwen asked.

"Don't listen to these two. They are just joking. Come on, let's eat now." I said to stop them from teasing.

"Mikha won't eat anymore. She's already full, right Mikhs?" Sheena laughingly said.

Mikha and I immediately blushed. It seems that Sheena has no intention of stopping teasing us.

"You really won't stop Sheena? Gwen, I have something to tell you about-" I didn't finish what I was going to say because Sheena immediately ran to me and covered my mouth.

Gwen looked at me confusedly.

"HA-HA-HA you know I'm just kidding, Aiah. Come on, let's eat guys. I've been really hungry since earlier HA-HA-HA." Sheena laughs awkwardly.

Finally, she sat down. I'm laughing because she suddenly became nice and even prepared me food.

"What the hell did just happen?" Maloi asked confusedly.

"You're unfair, guys. I thought we were eight until the end but you guys are keeping a secret from us." Jhoanna sulkingly said.

"You are very dramatic, Jho. Girlie, really can't keep her mouth shut just for once." Stacey said.

I gave her a grateful smile, silently thanking her for trying to change the topic.

"You always have something to say about me, Staku. Maybe you really have a crush on me, are you?" Jho teasingly said.

"Your face is really thick, Jho. Where do you get the courage to say that? To think that you look like a mango." Stacey said while smirking.

"Guys, stop bickering now. Let's eat before this food gets cold." Colet said. She just shook her head at the silliness of the two.

Finally, I heaved a long sigh. I feel relieved that their attention wasn't on us anymore.

Maybe without these girls, my life would be so bland. They give color to my black-and-white life. They are the kind of noise that I like.

And Mikha? She is my solace. My safe haven.
