ELYRIA

CHAPTER 34

Mira pov:
The sound of the birds chirping, the cold wind blowing and my hair swayed to the rhythm, I kept on thinking about the conversation I had with zephyr last night. Even after reuniting he still can't stop talking about Aria! She had been the cause of our separation. But was she really?

Flashback....
The war got tougher and we were loosing, just as I was fighting of some demons, I saw a glimpse of red hair, instantly I knew who it was, "does she want to get herself killed?! I was about to rush to her when a demon was close to getting her but I halt in my steps when I saw zephyr already took down the demon. He stayed by her side and they fought of the demons together. I continued fighting but I couldn't help but glance at them occasionally, zephyr seemed to have forgotten about his beloved, I heard the cries of a baby and I looked around looking for where the cries were coming from, after searching for a while I found him, he had just been birthed! I looked at the mother and tried to save her as she was struggling to breathe, she held my hand and  her mouth was moving like she was trying to tell me something, I moved closer to hear what she had to say:
"Please save my child! And call him o..r.io.n."

After saying that she gave up, and  died.
I took the baby in my arms and was about to go meet the council of elders but on getting there I found out Aria had already birthed the prophecy child and gave zephyr to raise him, and zephyr took the child to the human realm. I hid in shadows as I overheard the news, I was angry, angry at the supreme god, angry at the realm and angry at zephyr!  He left! Without looking for me or at least say goodbye.

I carried the baby and fled the battlefield, I met some other supernatural and together we ran away from Elyria only to find the hidden place where stayed.

End of Flashback....

By the time I looked up, the sun had risen completely and I could hear the cheers of the people, we had already reached the fae realm, the faes among us eagerly thanked zephyr for bringing them back home.

We entered the fae realm and when they sighted their loved ones the cheers got louder, while some cried embracing each other, some couldn't just believe their eyes. The protectors of the fae realm welcomed us warmly. Elder lyra came to meet me and couldn't believe her eyes when she saw Aria and I

"I'm getting to old and I'm seeing things! Is this really you? Aria? Mira? How is this possible?!"

Aria and I laughed and embraced her. Pulling out of the embrace Aria said:

"You should thank zephyr who found us and brought us back!"

"Yes elder lyra, zeph was the one who found us and brought us back!"

Just then zephyr came to meet us and immediately elder lyra embraced him and thanked him for his noble deed. She ushered us in but we politely refused telling her that we needed to get to Elyria as the supreme god was waiting for us.

The rest of us teleported back to Elyria and I couldn't help but heave a deep breath, I was finally home!
I felt an arm around my waist and instantly I knew who was daring enough to do that, just then I heard his voice:

"Welcome back home Mira."

He said with a proud smile on his face.

I felt someone tugging my cloak and I looked down to find orion looking at me.

"Is this Elyria?"

"Yes my little one, this is your home! Elyria!"

"Wowwww, it's so big and beautiful!" He said looking around.

"Just wait till we get to the earth clan! First we must reach the palace to meet the supreme god!

"Yayyyy, I can't wait!"

Zephyr chuckled and said "what a sweet little boy, makes me remember when alex was a child".

We all walked into the palace and the council of elders and their wives  welcomed us.
Serene, Nixie and Flavia embraced Aria and I

Nixie:
"Welcome back home, Aria and Mira, it's so good to have you both back!"

Serene:
"I really thought we lost you both! It's really good to have you both back!"

"We are happy to be back!" Aria and I responded. Flavia just stood by looking at us with a look of confusion on her face.

"Don't worry we will answer all your questions but let us meet the king first."

We all went to the throne room and immediately he came in we all bowed saying: "All hail the supreme god!"

"Please rise up, his voice boomed. And we all stood up immediately.

"Congratulations zephyr! You did not only find your beloved and Aria but you also found the refugees."

Our leader spoke up with his head bowed.
"Please forgive us supreme god, for leaving Elyria and running away!"

"Apologies accepted! Please go and reunite with your loved ones!"

They all thanked him left except orion who was still holding on to me.

"Ah, Zephyr, I see you've found your beloved Mira. And Aria, dear one, I'm glad you're safe."

Zephyr bowed his head. "Thank you, Supreme God. I couldn't have done it without your guidance."

The Supreme God smiled. "You've learned a valuable lesson, Zephyr. Love requires effort and understanding. Remember that, and you'll never lose Mira again."

Mira smiled, her eyes sparkling. "I think he's learned his lesson, Supreme God."

Zephyr grinned, feeling a sense of peace wash over him. "I have, Mira. I promise to always be there for you."
