CHAPTER 21

Alex pov:
I woke up with a sense of purpose and determination, apart from my personal problems, I still had the magical realm to tend to.
The palace maids came to tend to me, which reminded me that I haven't seen bloom in a while, I will have to ask the head maid about her.

I had my breakfast alone because everyone had gone back to their duties and I need to do the same.
I went into my office and started working, I started with looking at how the clans had been fairing for the past couple of months.
The earth clans are responsible for the rearing of crops and tending to vegetations, Serene wife of Terra was the one in charge of monitoring the farmlands and it's workers and she is to give me the reports about it. But since I haven't been around, the reports has been given to someone else, but whom?

I called for the guards stationed at the door.
"My king?"

"Get serene here immediately."

The guard left immediately and I waited for them to come.

"Knock, knock".

"Come in!"

"Supreme god, I was told you requested my presence"

"Yes, serene sit."

She sat down facing the king with her veil covering half of her face and kept her composure.

" I have been going through each of the clans welfare and I have discovered that during my absence, the reports of the farmlands have been given to someone else", and who is this if I may ask?

"Terra, leader of the earth clan, my husband."

"Why hasn't he handed them over to me yet?"

*silence*

"Speak up serene, why are those reports still with your husband, when they should be in my office right now!"

"Apologies my king, I shall have them be sent to you, please do not be offended by my husband's incompetent acts.

"Those reports should be sent to me at once!"

" yes my king, if I may please leave?

"You can go".

I watched her leave and rested by back as soon as she closed the door.

Terra had always been a crafty person, I know for a fact he did it purposely, he's probably still thinking a supreme god cannot come back as half human.

I chuckled, little does he know my human side had died on the day of reawakening.

But I am not complete without the rest of the memories about my past life, I signed at the thought of that.

All other clans had submitted their reports and only little issues had to be solved, which I already did.

By the time I finished, the sun had already set, and I stood up from my chair and went out of my study.

The guards all bowed as I approached. I went to the garden at the east side of the palace and breathed it the smell of nature, my eyes glowed and I felt refreshed with a new burst of energy coursing through me. This was my favourite garden in the palace and memories of the times I've spent here flashed through my eyes.

I suddenly remembered I had a special feature in me which are one of the features that makes me the supreme.

I smiled at the thought of it, I am a god afterall I  said and suddenly my eyes glowed brightly and wings as golden as the sun sprouted at my back and I took off into the sky.

My wings making powerful flaps behind me, I soared through the sky and took in the view of Elyria from above.

I flew lower and I could see the people of elyria look at me with so much honour and respect in their eyes, the little children got excited and tried keeping up with me, with their little legs, I chuckled and flew higher again into the sky, looking down I could see the three realms and couldn't help but wonder at how dark and creepy the evil realm was, it stood out among the other two realms with his darkness contrasting against the colourful realm of fae and Elyria.

After soaring through the clouds for a while, I landed back in my garden and accepted water from the maid who had brought them for me. I suddenly remembered and I stopped her as she was about to leave.

"Do you know a maid about your age called bloom?"

"No my king, I haven't heard of that name here before"

"I see, what's your name?"

"Ember, my king"

"You are from the fire clan"

"Yes my king".

"You may leave."

The maid left and I was quite surprised she didn't know bloom, something is not right I said, but I remembered I still have one more thing to do and I left the garden and went to the library located in the palace.

The woman had said there's a possibility my mother was still alive, but how's that even possible? Zephyr had told me she turned into flowers when she died, which is usually how the earth clans die. I searched through the library looking for any book that says anything about dead people coming back to life, after searching for a while, I finally found a book, I brought it out of its shelf and set it down to read.

"Knock, knock"

"Come in?"

"Your dinner is ready my king, should I bring it here?"

I suddenly remembered that indeed I hadn't eaten since morning!

"Leave it in my room, I'll be there shortly".

The maid left and I continued with the book.

According to the book, dead people cannot come back to life except, they weren't dead in the first place!

I looked at what it had to say about the earth clans death, and it was the same, when dead they fade into flowers and the wind carries them to their place of rest. However it said, if someone who is dead from the earth clan appears in one's dream, then the person has a message that he/she is trying pass across.

With that I closed the book and left the library, by the time I got to my room, the food had already gotten cold, I ate only the sweets and called a maid to get the plates.

One thing kept ringing in my mind, what message is she trying to pass across?
