He sat there across from me fixing his gaze on me. I sat there peering back at his face, trusting him as he seemed harmless and only just wanted to talk. Wanted to know about me, about the school I attended, and about what I wanted in life and my goals, my dreams and so much more. I hadn't any idea or clue why, I just couldn't stop staring at those beautiful brown eyes and I stared at his jawline, his cheekbones focusing on the structure. I was lost, so much in...him wanting to know what was making me engulfed in him telling me about who he was and why was he here, talking with me. What interests did he have, with someone like me?

But, as if he didn't need to read my mind he just began talking about himself so suddenly and instantly, amazingly, I found his English accent to be so full of excellence. I had never heard anyone talk the way he did around town or anywhere. He was so fluent and I looked at his lips and his mouth as he talked and as he spoke out the words as if in a dictionary himself. He could very well be one.

"Well, a little, bit, about myself Neryssa. I, normally, don't talk about my past, or who I am or what accomplishments I have made and therefore that done in my own previous life. But, I think that as I am here at this table with you, and seeing that I know Stefan as well as you, I think it only fair as you have, told me little by little about you."

"Oh, I don't, know Stefan, closely, hardly, even.....very well as you probably do."

Elijah looked at me and stared and smiled

"Well, what, I mean is we go to the same school and he is a great friend and someone who I can talk to. We haven't really bonded on that note where he has told me about his life and about.. himself too much."

"Stefan is..... "Quiet."

"I'm kind of the same way, so, I don't blame him."

"Yes, still even a friend should still confide his trust in those, with who happen to be as true, fair, and lovely as you."

"Elijah...please."

"I'm only, telling the truth."

"Stefan is a good friend."

"He have better be, to you."

I looked at him with my eyes as Elijah kept staring at me and smiling

"Well, aren't you, going to tell me, a little about you Elijah?"

"Oh, yes."

I smiled and laughed a little as he did

"I was born a long time ago, Neryssa. You wouldn't even believe me, if I told you the year."

"Why?"

"Let's just say... I happen to appear to you, as you look at me Neryssa. Possibly old, as I am sitting at this table and in this very restaurant and booth across from you, here and now. But, alas, I'm not."
