Tempting Danger and An Offer One Can't Refuse

Chapter 12

Curtains were drawn back with  a Whoosh, as I sleeping and suddenly bright sunshine hit my eyes as I raised a hand to my face and tried to block it out. 

"Good Morning Neryssa!"

It was Rose appearing before me as her face appeared before my very eyes and I saw a huge smile on her face one that bringing more daylight. I blinked  as I looked at her. "Sorry to awake you so early, but can't forget beeakfast, now can you?

I looked at her still and then I realized my hands and wrists didn't have anything on then and that I was in a room, and not in the attic. Why, was I not there? Where was I? Roae was reading my mind. "You were rewarded Neryssa." I looked at her on my pillow "Rewardeed?"

Rosee nodded her head, "Yes. Master Elijah was so pleased with you last night that he decided you should sleep in a room, with a special privilege. "Privilege?"

"Yes, this room, you can sleep in it for now on and you have your own bathroom that you can go in and your very own writing desk."

I looked to the new expensive desk in the corner. It was an ugraded one with more room and huger.

"Well, go and get up and take a shower. Hurry."

I was still tired and sleepy, but I did as I was told. As soon as I  freshened up and got dressed dressed. Rose said, "The rules still apply Neryssa. Remember, do not try and escape or do anything that will take this opportunity away. Far greater punishment will be given than the attic." I looked at Rose as she warned me. How long would I have to keep being reminded and doing this?

"You did excellent last night."

"I almost didn't." I replied disapprovingly and closing my eyes again and turning with my back to Rose and the opened curtains

Rose smiled happily and wlked towards the bed in her boots and hit Neryssa's bed cover where underneath her body was and her bottom, though she slept in sleep wear. Rose had changed her and took the dress off.

"Well, lets stratch that off from the list, you fixed it and Elijah was happy."

What drove her mood? I asked myself agaon the cheerful smile and the sudden hit to my bum underneath the covers

"Oh, before I forget, I was told to give this to you. But open it after I bring you back from breakfast, so I will put it on your desk for now."

"Elijah wants you to write him back. So do so when I return you to the room."

In the kitchen, I sat at the table and I ate the breakast that I was served. I waited for Elijah to join, but the more I waited and Rose was by the stove at the skillet and by the server. I finally had the courage. "Rose, will Elijah be joining?"

"No, he won't."

"Oh,"I said relief came over me, but at the same time curosity

"May, I ask where he is?"

"Resting."
