Toguro stood at his front yard, tapping his foot impatiently as he scanned the horizon for two specific people. Hands intertwined behind him as he nervously clutched his palms.

Millions of possibilities appeared in his head and most of them weren't positive, which only increased his w̶o̶r̶r̶y̶ frustration.

He flinched at the sound of distant footsteps as he let go of his hands and narrowed his eyes at whom approached.

His tense shoulders slumped in relief as he recognized those two figures easily. One was carrying the other on her back as she visibly stumbled in her step due to her own injuries.

He stepped forward, but restrained himself from running forward to pull them in his embrace. Instead, he cleared his throat to collect himself as he looked away and pretended to do something else at his front yard.

In the distance you saw your mentor, Toguro. It seems like he was...watering a rock?...

You deadpanned at the sight, but before you could make a comment to Atsuo, Atsuo beat you to it as he gasped at the sight of Toguro.

"Teacher!" He exclaimed as he waved his hands around to catch Toguro's attention.

The said man pretended to just notice you two as he turned his head to your direction, a bit too eagerly.

As soon as you two were close enough, he responded.

"You're alive.." he awkwardly cleared his throat. "Good." He curtly said before turning around to go back inside with stiff shoulders, obviously holding back his immense relief and true feelings about their return.

You deadpanned at his inability to be expressive as you set Atsuo down on his feet.

"Hey, old man."

Your voice made Toguro pause in his tracks as he slowly turned to face you two. An unreadable expression on his face.

As soon as he turned around, Atsuo glomped onto him. Crying on his shoulder and whining about the hellish week you both had and how you both thought you were gonna die.

Toguro stood there awkwardly, eyes wide as he processed the feeling of the embrace.

Toguro glanced at you silently, to which you responded with a huff of amusement before reluctantly joining the group hug.
