"What's all this, [Name]?"
Sabito squinted his eyes as he looked over the papers he can barely read, both because he's mostly illiterate and because of the messy handwriting.
Giyuu was looking over Sabito's shoulder, his problem only being the messy handwriting as he glanced up at you to hear what you have to say.
"Plans. Just in case i'm not there to give advice on what to do" you hummed as you took a small sip of your tea, clicking your tounge at the still foreign taste.
Not to say you were a coffee person but caffeine was your go-to back in your original world.
Both boys across the table were put into a state of confusion and concern at your words as they glanced at each other.
Sabito gave you a stern look.
"Not here?-what do you mean by that?.." Sabito spoke warily, trying to search those deep eyes of yours that held countless mysteries he had yet to unfold.
"I mean i won't always be there for you both, so i figured i'd give you those.."You shrug so casually as you set your tea cup down on the table.
"So you're giving us your will?.." Giyuu furrowed his brows, eyes filled with concern and feeling the strange sense of deja vu at the thought of you suddenly leaving him too.
"What?-no that isn't a will, I'm not dying." you sighed as you readjusted the sleeves lf your yukata.
"It's just that i may or may not be planning to go somewhere for a while." You explained with your stoic expression, trying to explain while being as vague as possible with your plans.
"Go somewhere? But [Name] you'll be an official slayer once you receive your blade and uniform. You can't exactly go on trips with your new duty." Sabito protests with a slightly raised voice, he looked angry, but you knew well he was just worried.
"She doesn't plan on abandoning her duties you doofus." Atsuo huffed from behind you as he glanced up from your hair, which he was braiding, to look up at the peach-haired boy that dared ro raise his voice at you.
Sabito and Atsuo exchanged a silent argument with their equally blazing glares before you cleared your throat to diffuse the tension.
"He's right, Sabito. I don't plan on quitting so soon. I just won't be able to see you all much because I'll be busy." You leaned your elbows onto the table as you emphasised your words. "Both with my duty and something else more classified."
Giyuu blinked as you leaned forward, feeling his heart beat a little bit faster as he got timid under your firm gaze.
"And...Even Atsuo won't get much of your time either?" he averted his gaze to his lap, fiddling with his fingers nervously under your gaze.
"Sadly not." Atsuo answered the question himself with a loud obnoxious sigh as he finished up on styling your hair.
You glanced at the boys around you, they all looked deflated-like a child being told that they can't buy the toy they want at the toy store.
It's been a while since their blurry faces became clear, even now you still couldn't get used to looking at their faces. Specifically those expressions that stung her heart to see.
The dissapointment and worry in their faces made you feel all fuzzy inside. Being cared for was something you hadn't experienced in a long while after all.
"Don't look so glum you three. I'll be back before you know it." you assured them as you looked anywhere else but them. Feeling strange from having to say such comforting words to someone other than yourself.
It seems your words worked though as their tense shoulders relaxed a bit. The boys across from you letting out a sigh of relief to know you weren't leaving permanently.
There was a long comfortable silence before you grabbed your tea cup once more and took a sip.
"And i mean you all won't even realize i left.." you murmured to yourself incoherently, the three boys couldn't understand the foreign language but they got used to you talking to yourself after a while.
You planned to freeze this timeline to visit another in order to not reverse your progress and so that you won't have to deal with multiple timelines interlocking before you come back here.
Atsuo moved to sit beside you as he gave you a knowing look. After all he was the one you confided in for your plans and power.
He gave your shoulder a firm squeeze as he effectively snapped you out of your train of thought.
"Focus on the present for now, yes? " he gave you that angelic smile of his as he looked at you with pure love and care.
"Hey, [Name]'s brother. Get that stupid look off your face. It's innapropriate to look at an uninterested lady like that. Nonetheless your so called sister."
"I DON'T LIKE HER THAT WAY, HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT FOX BOY?"
"WELL QUIT BEING SO CUTESY WITH HER IN FRONT OF US THEN!"
You sighed as you glanced at Giyuu who was silently agreeing with everything Sabito said.
You didn't understand why they were so bothered with Atsuo's brotherly affection, they always have this weird unreadable glint in their eyes everytime Atsuo much less smiled at you.
You lower your cup to the table but as you were about to set it down, You get startled from the two boy's banter as you accidentally spill its contents, effectively shutting them up.
"Oh jeez, sorry.."
"Apologies [Name], i didn't mean to startle you.."
You gave them a stern look as you composed yourself.
Before you could clean your mess up, you stiffened as you watch Tomioka use his yukata's sleeve to wipe your hands with that stoic expression of his.
You silently let him help you, unable to notice Sabito who was silently seething at the sight and Atsuo who grabbed a rag and started to clean the mess on the table with a guilty expression.
You suddenly felt something approaching..or rather someone as you glanced at the door to the room you all resided in.
As if the prove you right, Toguro soon slid open the door with a masked swordsmith behind him.
"Oi brats, Your blades are here."
