Seth's POV

The Seon family was prestigious with a multi billion dollar corporations dating back to the previous century. It was customary when a legitimate heir graduates university, they are given $10 million to start their own business as part of the competition. The rules are simple, the current head of the Seon family, Seth's grandfather will announce his heir before his retirement in seven years. His only requirement was that he would entrust the whole of S corporation to someone who was capable of raising their own successful business.

Seth's grandfather had chosen three potential heirs. Samuel his cousin who was one year Seth's senior from his mother's side. Samantha his aunt who was born from his grandfather's fourth and current wife, she was only eighteen. And Seth who had just graduated and turned twenty two.

He already knew the kind of business he would venture into, the only problem was how could he rise above his two competition. Seth did not care about the wealth which came with being the head of the Seon family. What he needed was to ensure Samantha and Samuel would lose the competition. Samuel who was involved in illegal business' and Samantha who would only be a puppet of her corrupt mother.

Angel, Seth's best friend from university was already on board as his business partner. But Seth still had to come up with a way to to have his company running 24/7.

It was during a uneasy time like this when Angel first drove Seth to a particularly exclusive party.

"You need to relax, and enough business talk. Maybe you would even get some inspiration." Angel grinned as he pulled his tie off his neck and unbuttoned his shirt. There were no clear signs outside the building, only it appeared to be an abandon hotel with security guards stationed outside. A large black car had stopped before the door where two women came out, one dressed in deep ruby red and the other in a pearl white satin dress. Every visitor in masks ranging from gold, black and rarely red.

"What is this place?" Seth asked.

"You always wondered where I was every Saturday night." Angel hummed as he gave Seth an invitation and helped fasten a gold coloured masquerade mask on him, while he wore a simple black mask. "I know it isn't your scene, but perhaps you can have fun and maybe discover something you like. Remember those in red mean do not approach me."

Seth took the mask and placed it on his face. Angel didn't give him any context. All he could assume was perhaps this could be a dating scene. But when he presented his invitation and was escorted into the grand hall after a full security check he realised, this was quite the opposite to what he was expecting and the further Seth walked inside, the more potent the smell of roses were. It was a party filled with people with extremely unique kinks. A collection of elites with similar tastes. Several groups had already began to play for the night. He saw a women half undressed with a man who was kneeling beside her.

"How has my pup been?" She smiled.

"Not well without my mistress." He whined softly.

Seth looked away, and focused on where Angel was leading him. "No one gives their real names to these kinds of events. Confidentiality is the most important thing. Pick a nickname. Most people will only play with people they already know. Whether you spectate or join in, it is up to you."

Angel approach a group of young men he seemed to have already been acquainted with, one had immediately taken Angel's arm and smiled through his black mask. "Sir, will you be joining me tonight."

"Not today flower, I have a friend I need to show around first." Angel smiled sweetly. But Seth had understood the meaning by the stranger's glare and disappointment.

"There is no need to show me around," Seth pointed at the bar nearby. "I only want a drink and perhaps will look around on my own later."

"Alright, I will join him in the room on the left, if you need anything I'll be there. Why don't you grab a drink, maybe meet someone?" Angel hummed as he waved and led the man into one of the rooms.

Seth made his way to a small bar by the side of the room, passing a few couples and throuples who were making out over the velvet couches. There was a young bartender, with a red mask and fluffy feline ears. He seemed to take his mixology seriously as he handed the couple before him their purple glistening concoctions. His smile was gentle as he wiped his hands with a cloth. Seth noticed the bartender's ears flush pink, as if he had accidentally made eye contact with one of the couples on the velvet couches behind him. Seth couldn't see his face clearly behind the mask.

"Are you lost, kitten?" Seth asked the young man who seemed to be similar in age to him.

"Is this your way of hitting on me? You know the rules, red means leave me alone." He crossed his arms and pointed towards a nearby table. "They are wearing black, go join them."

"I only want a drink, and a conversation. My friend left me alone and this is my first time to this kind of party." Seth took out his card. "I'll take two of what you are drinking right now."

The man huffed and poured him two rum and coke, he clicked their glasses together and took a sip, Seth mirrored him. "Did your friend play a prank on you?"

"Maybe." Seth sighed. "I've been under a lot of stress."

"Business or love?" The sweet man asked.

"Business." Seth laughed. "I wonder how I can make a highly productive workforce."

"Less stress could be a factor. People come to these kind of things because of stress. If your company could have something with similar stress release then that would help." His tone was clearly teasing.

"A company filled with kink parties?" Seth raised his eyebrow unconvinced.

"Sure why not?" He joked.

Seth looked at this mysterious man, with a sweet voice and the sound of laughter like light bells. He melted easily into the string of conversations, not noticing all the hours which crept by or his name. At the end of the evening after Seth paid for his tab, he handed the man a $500 tip.

"Keep it, young master." He told Seth. "Let that be my payment for your future company shares."

Seth smiled as he took the cash back. He didn't care for parties such as these. Nor had he ever had a sexual partner before. He was the kind of person who needed to get to know someone first. Slowly and sweetly, like waiting for a honey and lemon tea to cool down before tasting, like waiting for summer even during the beauty of spring. He joined Angel every week to these events in the hopes of a drink and a conversation with the mysterious stranger who he wanted to get to know. A beautiful innocent kitten, who would one day break his heart.
