Chapter 25: Not ready

In a dark room with Aku no and a butler. Aku no is sitting on a couch.

"Master Aku no, the demon failed."

Aku says "As she predicted. It did give us some fun. Ain't that right, Meteora?"

A woman with dark red hair with a hint of black. She had fair brown skin and was floating in the air.

She said "Of course it did. I am the one who came up with the plan." He asks "So how did you acquire the demon blood and find out about Moon in the first place?"

Meteora shouts "Don't question me! Stay in a humans place." While excitedly listening, Aku says, "Fine, but what species are you?" Meteora says "Last strike and I will cancel our deal."

Meteora disappears

"Master, why do you anger her?" The butler said. "Octto, you haven't been severing me for years. Maybe even over a decade. Without proper stimulus, we can't live. We don't do anything. I get bored way too easily. It's like I was born with this disease."

Octto says "I know sir. I have been by your side all this time. But-" Aku no cuts him off and says "Yet you don't know why I do such actions. How about this? Your new task while preparing for my next encounter with him. You try to learn why I am who I am. If you do I will give you any reward you want."

Moon tries to open a door. He forces and pulls the door but it won't budge. Smoke envelops the room, making it harder for Moon to breathe. He rams the door with his shoulder.

He thinks "I have to get out."

He tries to ram the door again and again but nothing works. He hears the window bust open.

He looks over at it. Moon prepares to leave. Something grabs Moon's wrist. Then a voice says "Are you going to leave us again? You can't, you promise. White don't leave me."

Moon doesn't turn around because he knows he wouldn't have the strength to move on if he did. He tucks his restricted arm and says "Listen, I can't stay and won't. I have to go."

From the abyss, more hands and arms take hold of Moon. "I won't let you go. We won't let you go. You did this to us. Our family..."

The arms and hands pull him closer into their embrace.

Moon wakes up in a cold sweat. He gets up and feels the grass touch his skin. He turns and watches as the sunlight touches the face of a woman he feels knows.

Her hair was light blue hair, had hints of dark blue. Her pale but fair skin yet she had a small frame.

He thought "It can't be her."

She turns and he gets instantly lost in her blue eyes. He mumbles "Astro."

She says "So your awake now. Great there is much work to be done."

Moon gets up and says "You are Astro, right?"

Astro says "Who else would I be if not."

He looks away from her and mumbles "Thanks".

She says "Even you can have some gratitude." Moon blushes and says "Shut up".

Astro says "Are you ready?" Moon questions "What do you mean? Also, where am I? And why are you short now?"

Astro says "Now you broad me with questions? Humans and their ignorance. I will be training as part of our vow. We are at some random grassland."

Moon says "Ok so that answers most of my questions but why are you now lacking?"

Astro gets flustered and pissed. She smacks Moon with a staff. "If you must know, its because of you!"

He asked, "How am I the reason?"

Astro takes a minute to collect herself and lets out a deep sigh. "I am a god. A being that should no longer be able to be in this world. Well not since ..."

Moon asks "Since what?"

She says "You do know a little so I could explain. Remember that so-called crystal you wished on? The one you so desperately wish upon."

Moon says "I did not wish desperately. Anyway, I know what you're talking about."

Astro explains "That was a device that links all the world together. All were sealed off, never to be linked ever again. No one can escape its bounds nor rules. Things that are from different areas of the world are going to interfere."

Moon says "I have to fight some monsters or beings because of a wish and a vow I made with you." He lets out a deep sigh.

He shouts "Bullshit!"

Astro says "You caused this so man up and deal with it."

Moon says "Fine. So How do I start this training?"

She smiles and says "Attack me."

He says "I don't like hitting women."

Astro says "Your simple human morals will get you killed. I am a god—a being who can destroy this world in a single breath."

Before Moon gets a chance to react she gets behind him and hits him with her staff softly.

She says "Let it all go. Trust me and I will open up to you. If everyone paints you as the villain. I alone will be with you. Don't worry."

He turns around and looks her in the eyes. Moon enjoyed her heartfelt.

He says "Thanks."
