Madison
Later that night, only Mrs. Newman, and Charles are home. Camilla must be going somewhere that she wants to.
"Madison!" It's Mrs. Newman's voice. They just finished dinner and she called me because of her offer.
"Madison!" she shouted louder.
I hurriedly went to the living room where she is sitting.
"Sit" she commanded. I heard my heartbeat fast. She is really intimidating.
Soon, I heard footsteps.
"Charlie, sit with us" she said. Mr. Newman is going to talk with us!! I am running out of breath.
I haven't seen him most of the time, so I haven't had the time to look at him that much. He is very handsome, he looks young a few years older than me, but he seems very experienced and intelligent. He got nice blue eyes and that looked well with his brown hair. He also smells sweet when he gets close.
"Why is she with us?" Mr. Newman asked his Mom. This is awkward, I want to leave them two alone, but I bet Mrs. Newman will be mad at me.
"Charlie, you said you don't want to marry Karlie" Mrs. Newman said.
"True" a short reply from Mr. Newman's prefect lips.
"Then I have a brilliant idea." Mrs. Newman said. Her tone is scary.
"What is it?" Mr. Newman asked.
"I planned of hiring someone to be a baby maker" Mrs. Newman eyes me.
"Who?" Mr. Newman asked.
"Madison" Mrs. Newman gave a devilish smile.
"Mom!! That is such a foolish idea!" Mr. Newman raised his voice.
"Then you are giving up your father's company for your burden?! Charles Newman I did not raise you to give up Elmyra just because some girl left you without a reason. It's been four years, you have to face the fact that she's not coming back. I did that when your father died, and I know you can do the same." Mrs. Newman said.
"This is not about Helen. Please stop bringing up Helen. I am tired of hearing about her" Mr. Newman said. Who's Helen exactly? Who the heck is she? I really don't know what's the story behind her.
"Then please stop thinking about her and have a life. A life before her" Mother sounds mad.
"Madison, leave" Mr. Newman said without even looking at me. I stood up.
"Don't!" Mrs. Newman insists.
"Go now" Mr. Newman's voice sounds like pleading. I continued leaving, not even thinking what will his mother feels.
I stayed on the garden, trying to think about the future.
But there, I remember my father.
"I want to see you in your wedding day, my little girl. You are wearing a white dress. After that you and your husband would have cute little babies. I will have them resting on my lap while they sleep." My Dad said.
