One Month Later:
CHARLES
Weeks had passed since I started sleeping with Madison. There were times that she hugs me in her sleep. I felt safe when she does. Sometimes she sleep talks and say things about her life, things about her family.
She hugged me once and called me Margaret. Sometimes she would call her Dad and say she was happy to see him home.
Those were things that I remember. Especially the night when she talked to me in her sleep. She said "Charles, your sone loves you."
I am just afraid I am getting closer and that I'm falling for her. Falling for her is slow and beautiful. Unlike the time I fell for Helen, quick and crazy love.
I wonder how she feels, I am afraid to know it. The more the child grows inside her, the more I get attached.
"I look really pregnant now" Madison said.
"You are pregnant anyways" I replied. She smirked.
"I look like pregnant pregnant" she said. I don't really get what she means.
"I'm fat" she said.
"It's normal" I replied.
"He is getting heavier too" she said. The baby gets bigger and bigger.
"By the way, my mom will be here today" I said.
"Is she going to stay here for good now?" She asked.
"I don't know yet, maybe" I replied.
"I need to go to work now." I said. She smiled again.
"Take care" she said. I didn't say anything and left the room.
Office:
I am reviewing a contract when Dylan spoke. "Sir, someone's here" he said. I looked at my schedule and there's no one listed that I have to meet
"I don't have anyone scheduled to meet today" I replied.
"Sir, you might want to meet her" he said.
"Who?" I asked him then the door opened and there she was, Helen. She appeared again.
"Charles!" She said.
I stood and didn't say a word. She then hugged me like I was an old friend.
"What are you doing here?" I asked her.
"I missed you," She said.
I froze. I am trying to assess my feelings. It was gone. The warmth I felt from her whenever I'm with her.
"I'll be leaving you two Sir" Dylan said as he left us to talk.
"Charles, let me explain myself" she said.
"what" I murmured.
"I apologized for leaving you four years ago. When I was left home, I started thinking about things. I was afraid of getting married that soon. I didn't know how to tell you that I'm not ready, so I left just like that" she said.
"You haven't said a word for four years" I said. She started crying.
"I was afraid you don't want me anymore" she replied.
"What do you expect me to do?" I asked her.
"I want us to be together again" she said.
"Sorry, Helen I think I no longer want to be with you" I replied.
"There's someone I'd like you to meet" she said.
She goes out of my office and came back with a child.
"This is your son, he is four years old now." she said. The boy is holding her.
"He is your child, when I left I discovered I was pregnant and hid it from you" she continued.
"Is that true?" I asked her. I have a child with Helen? Probably this thing would be a good thing if I knew about it four years ago.
"Yes, Charles. We have nowhere to go now" she said.
"I have an apartment in Livingston, you can stay there for now." I said.
"Can't we stay with you?" Helen said.
"It's good for you to stay there for awhile" I replied.
"Meet your daddy" Helen said to the child. The child is shy and he tries to hide behind her skirt.
"What's your name?" I asked the child but he didn't answer.
"His name is Arthur, I call him Artie" Helen said.
"I will ask Dylan to assist you" I said.
"Thank you Charles" Helen said.
I have a child with her? I can't believe it. It's just clear to me that I lost my feelings for her. But the thing about us having a child is a different thing.
I would be having two sons if that child is actually mine.
Home:
I should probably tell Madison that I finally saw Helen.
"Helen's in the office today" I said to her.
"Really?" She replied.
"What did she say?" She asked.
"She had a child, she said it was mine" I said.
"Oh, so you already have a child with her" she said. She looked jealous, I can tell.
"What are you planning to do with him?" She said pointing to her belly.
"Nothing's changed about him" I replied.
"Aren't you going back together, you and Helen?" she asked.
I don't want to be with her now. I don't feel anything for her anymore.
"We're not going back together" I replied.
"Oh, why?" She asked.
"You ask so many things now, by the way how is my mother?" I asked her.
"She's in her room, I think she's sleeping" she replied.
"You should be sleeping now" I said to her.
"I should sleep in my room with Relina again" she said.
"No, you'll sleep with me even if my mom is here" I said.
"But what if she finds out?" She asked.
"Don't worry about it" I replied.
How can I tell that I want to sleep with you always? How can I tell how happy I am every night before I sleep and every morning that I open my eyes?
