CHARLES
It's a new day, probably because I am no longer the CEO of the largest company in Hartford. I no longer have to work from this day.
It feels great to live simply, without minding about stocks, money and the economy. I found something more valuable than that, it is Madison and our unborn child.
"So what's your plan?" Madison asked me.
"I'll be talking to some people I know and start a small business of my own" I replied. Of course I still have to earn to keep our finances going.
"By the way Camilla will come over." I said to her.
"That's good news, you need to really talk about your family" she replied.
Camilla arrived shortly.
"Charles, please go back home." the first thing she ever said to me.
"You know I made up my mind." That's the only thing I can say. I don't want to argue today.
"Charles, Mom has allowed Helen and your son to stay home. And Xavier is filling your position." Camilla replied.
"It's mom's decision" I replied.
"But Charles, we all need you. We just can't let you go away." Camilla spoke. I really think that i matter to them, but they don't want me to marry the woman I love.
"It's not that easy to come back" I replied.

For the next weeks I started offering proposals to the close friends I have in the business. But they declined, because they thought investing with me will piss off Elmyra technically my Mom.
---------------------------------
MADISONIt's been weeks, and Charles finds it hard to start a business. I just started to think that this is because of me, I made him miserable.
I can no longer watch him suffer like this. So I made up my mind to speak with his mother one morning.
We decided to meet in Elmyra. It is my first time going there. It is very big and luxurious. People are staring at me, maybe because I look different, this place is out of my league.
"I'm glad you allowed me to speak with you." I said. Mrs. Newman looks really serious.
"What do you want?" she asked. I need to say this, and do it.
"Once, I give birth I'll be leaving the baby and Charles." I said.
"I'd disappear like I never existed." I said to her.
"Will you really do that?" She asked.
"Yes, I will." I no longer want to see Charles struggle to earn, he doesn't deserve to suffer just because he chose me.
"Good decision of yours" his mother replied. I didn't speak.
"We will do what was planned before, I'll pay you and you leave. I don't care wherever you go, just out of our lives." She continued.
I nod.
"I'll be going home, Charles may be suspicious." I said.
I left Elmyra. I started crying on my way back to the apartment where we stay. It was hard to think that in the end I still choose to be selfless to protect the man I love and my child.
Life has never been good. Life really resents me.
I came back with my tears already wiped. Charles just got there.
"Where have you been?" he asked.
"I had a little walk at the park" I replied.
"How are you?" I asked him. He seems sad. I can tell someone rejected his plans again.
"It's fine." he replied. I know he is hiding the fact that he failed again. I'm really liable for all of his struggles. I wish I didn't come with him here.
"How's the baby?" he asked.
"He is kicking me hard." I replied. He touch my belly and felt our son's kicks.
"He is so strong." he said. Yes he is.
"I've picked a name." I said.
"What name?" He asked.
"Maxwell" I replied.
"like Maxwell Baker." I said. It is Dad's name. I want to leave him with that, my Dad's name.
"Your Dad?" he asked.
"Yes," I replied.
"Then my dad also" he replied.
"Alexander. Alexander Newman." he replied.
"Then Alexander Maxwell Newman it is" I replied.
"Then we will call him Alec" he said.
"Sounds good" I replied.
I hope with this, his mother will love him like her love for his father. I hope he will be good like Charles.
