Sab awkwardly entered the room, being slow and cautious as he opened the door, feeling a ping of dread and fear. Stat had asked him to see him. Alone. In regards to the little 'incident' from just a day or two ago.

Yet he let out a small sigh of relief as he saw the room empty, so he entered and closed the door behind him, slowly looking around at the chilly empty office, feeling dark and grimy even with the late afternoon light coming through the windows. He glanced at the blueprints scattered throughout the table, furrowing his eyebrows in regards to one. A biochip of some kind? He wanted to lean it and just read some excerpts real quick.

"Oh why hello there sab."

Sab yelped and turned around in shock, his heart having skipped a beat to stats sudden appearance behind him, he held the table for support as he realized who was in front of him and calmed down a little.

"GAH- oh stat-! Uhhh, you wanted to see me?"

"Well yes I did. So why don't you take a seat?" She gave a smile which creeped out sab slightly as he complied and sat on the chair opposed to stat's designed seat. Nervously awaiting what she had to say as he knew she would probably do something a thousand times worse than what his mind would even conjure at the moment.

"So I've heard there was a little...'incident' back at the lobby a couple of days ago...with out buddy Brock."

"Uhhhh- w-what about it?" He thought maybe playing dumb or ignorant would slightly work; even if the reality of the situation shouldn't call for such an action.

"I think we both know what's up about that."

Sab stayed silent for a minute before bursting out, trying to explain everything. "Look I really don't know what got over me ok?? I SWEAR! I just got mad a-and then I blanked out and now suddenly I was in the hospital bed-" he half lied before stat cut him off mid-rambling "look sab. I know it's something you can't control." She said, her cold smile unchanging "but my my did you do quite the damage"

"..I'm sorry-"

"Tell you what?" Stat stood up, tracing her fingers through the outline of her desk as she walked over to sab, standing behind him and gently placing a hand on his tensed shoulder. "I don't think there's going to be any way around this."

"What-?? What do you mean-"

"Sab; you inherited your father's own monstrous genes, of course you're going to wind up in a position like this one way or another. You were always destined to be like this since you were born.."

"..but-"

"Forget it sab. I know what it's like to try and deny the implications of being just like your family." She side glanced to a quick framed picture of her and her brother hung up on on the wall "there's no point in denying it..you're just gonna break down from denying the truth all the time.."

"Are you saying...I'm just like- like-"

"Your father? Yes. But there's no trying to fix it. It's impossible. Like the saying goes: If you can't beat them. Join them."

Sab gripped the edge of the chair lightly, not wanting to piss off sab by 'talking back' nor did he feel like he could stay quiet "why are you telling me this-??" He asked, trying to contain his mixing pot of emotions.

"Because the sooner you accept the truth." She said, her fingers lightly griping his neck, specifically near his seams, an almost light threat on tearing his head apart, at least that's what flashed across sab's mind. "the less bullshit I'll have to deal from you. You know how much my image means to me."

Sab didn't even know how to respond to the statement before stat quickly recomposed herself; losing the temporary yet threatening tone of voice and letting go of sabs neck "but you know I still care about you right?" She said as she walked back to her seat "all I'm just trying to say is that you just need to have some...self acceptance! For the better!" She sat down, brushing herself before straightening her position "that's all! you're dismissed now. Run along."

Sab immediately got off and tried to book it to the door before stat called out for one more note "oh and also! If I see your finger on Brock again. I'll kill you. Understand?"

"......yes-"

"good. You can go now."

Sab left so quickly he didn't even close the door properly. Making stat scoff and drop the smile.

"People these days!" She flicked a finger and the door shut on its own before she spun her chair to face the great view through the window, humming at the cold foggy day before pulling out her phone, seeing a notification from a few minutes ago from Mach.

My employers said they'll deliver the chip in tomorrow- I'm sure Casey will give it to you. Just letting you know ok.

Stat cracked a grin, feeling hee plan fall right into action
