Then things got even stranger.

"Just when you think things are already crazy enough," Leo said, hoping Percy wasn't going to get hurt. It may not be worth anything, as this had already happened in the book universe, but Leo could still hope.

Leo didn't know why, but he felt almost a... connection between him and Percy. Both boys had similar pasts; he and Percy had been "troubled" kids who had rough childhoods. Often labeled as lazy and uncooperative.

Leo could relate to Percy in a lot of ways, so he didn't want anything to happen to him. He wanted to be able to get to know him more, as selfish as that may be.

Maybe Leo would even know Percy in the other universe. That would be cool. They didn't know each other all that well yet, but with time Leo could say for sure they would be great friends.

Mr. Brunner, who'd been out in front of the museum a minute before, wheeled his chair into the doorway of the gallery, holding a pen in his hand.

"...What?" Grover asked, "Why, of all things, would someone bring a pen to presumably fight a monster?"

Grover couldn't really judge, as he would most definitely run instead of fight, but still. If you're going to fight, you should at least have something you can use to attack with. Even your fists are fine. But a pen? That's just plain stupid.

Chiron was staring at the book, hoping his book version would be able to protect Prince Perseus. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if he had let a child be harmed either because he didn't or couldn't step up and guard him. Speaking of guards...

"I don't know why I wouldn't bring a weapon to fight a monster such as the creature Mrs. Dodds turned into, but I have to ask, why wouldn't Prince Perseus have a guard of some sort watching and protecting him? If Prince Perseus knew about his heritage, I would assume King Poseidon would want someone protecting him from the press and the likes."

People thought about this for a moment. "If Percy knew about him being a Prince, it's not hard to believe that the people of Olympia and subsequently, the world, would know of him being a Prince," Poseidon mused.

"Reporters certainly found out quicker than we thought they would in our universe." He commented. Poseidon remembered when he had found out the news had been leaked. He had been scared, scared for his youngest son. Scared for now the reporters might treat him, and how Percy might react as he had no media training at all. Poseidon was just grateful Luke had been there to guide Percy through that hoard and into the school building.

"Yes, and if our theory about Percy knowing he was royalty from birth, that'd be even harder to keep under wraps. For twelve years the entire royal family would have to keep a whole person secret." Hera said, "And considering that would be almost impossible, we must be wrong about something. Otherwise, something doesn't add up."

Percy didn't know what could be wrong. He said at the beginning of the book he was a half-blood, which basically confirmed he knew he was a Prince. Though technically he didn't say the exact words, it was close enough that Percy could say that wasn't what they got wrong.
